A very accessible book, written from a non-clinical point of view, obviously. Fearne has her own experience of depression and is sensible enough to know others' experience will differ. I found it made me think more about my own tendency to worry about what is ahead and it has inspired me to try to engage in mindfulness. Personally I wasn't a fan of the exercises in the book as I hate the idea of defacing books or of others reading my thoughts - which shows how brave Fearne has been actually! In all, an enjoyable and useful read.

Thank you.

First of all, I'd like to say that I like the front cover of this book. These pastel colours invoke a feeling of happiness and light-filled days. A positive start! The design, illustrations, use of colour and layout within the book are very appealing. The font is especially easy on the eye.
I love Fearne's earnest views on mental health and mindfulness - how to live here and now, and not dwell on the past or worry about things which are yet to happen.
I have never suffered from depression, but there have been low points in my life, particularly the deaths of my parents. This book would have offered me great comfort at those times.
There are many useful tips and exercises to try out. There's something in here for everyone and I feel that most people will be able to relate to Fearne's book.
It's a book to come back to time and time again.
I loved it and will recommend it to my friends.

Fern bravely writes openly about her own depression and in doing so has and will help many who may be floating on the edge themselves. Lots of helpful exercises and references for all in one handy book.

I am really enjoying Happy.

Having a young baby, it was nice to be able to dip into a book and not feel lost as such.

The book itself is gorgeous, so bright and you can tell alot of thought went into it. I really enjoyed doing some of the exercises and found that I am able to calm myself faster too.

This really is a beautiful book- lovely illustrations and easy to read. I feel lucky to not suffer from depression nor did I do any of the exercises but I think they were simple, probably effective and plausible. I do plan on making the courgette and carrot fritters though!
I like Fearne and was surprised to learn that she had suffered from depression and anxiety. So I thought she was very brave and honest in her writing. I particularly liked the bit about the double edged sword that is social media- my sentiments exactly! All in all I recommend this book. Even if you don't suffer from depression, it's good to take stock and remember the important things in life- family, friends and good physical and mental health.
