She is new to me but I bought 'The Girls' because it was offer for Kindle, and I'm quite hooked. (don't tell me the ending as I haven;t finished it yet !)

Which one of hers should I try next ?

And are there any similar authors I might like (I like Alex Marwood and have recently read The Darkest secret which I would say is a similar type of book) - mystery/hidden secrets, plot twists and turns etc.

Really like lisa jewell, good writer, but found the sequal to Ralph's party really depressing! I wondered whether she'd had personal bad experiences of aspects of motherhood/fertility problems/relationships in between writing the books. If not then she's an even better writer than I thought.

Dorothy Koombson is good too.

Freya Parks doesn't compare at all IMO, readable, escapist pulp but ridiculous characters and stories, eg people able to survive financially working sporadically as clowns, craft jewellers and castle sitters!

I love lisa jewell and following for other recommended authors.

Not impressed with Jojo Moyes at all. The Paris story is so obvious!
Liked Freya North, Adele Parks for a lght read. Cecelia Ahern & Marian Keyes, no... LJ is always top of my list. Must check out some of the others mentioned, though.

Marian Keyes is one of my favourites. Read one of Dorothy Koomson once one that everyone hyped up didn't think much of it, it was good but nothing special. Don't know if her others are better, it put me off.
Same for Cecilia ahern. Read ps i love you but actually thought that was like reading a child's book so never read any more of hers. Couldn't understand why everyone raved about her.
Read the last letter from my love by JoJo Moyes really liked that one got really into it. Got me before you on my shelf to read

Can't stand cecelia ahern - tripe!

Do you mind an author jumping in with a recommendation? Everything But The Truth by Gillian McAllister is amazing. I was sent it as a preview in summer while I was on holiday. I said I wouldn't be able to read it for a few months and only opened the file to check it had worked. Fast forward 48 hours and I'd finished it! It is a real page turner and it really makes you question yourself and your relationships cleverly. Like, how far would you go to uncover the truth about your partner, even if you loved them? And how much 'bending of the truth' would you accept before you snap? I don't want to give anything away but I definitely recommend it.

I enjoy many of these writers and would also suggest Emily Barr and Rowan Coleman

Also Maggie o Farrell is great for past secrets themes.
Also got into Jane fallon although her books tend to take the secret life/affair path.
Looking forward to the new Lisa Jewell book.
Liane moriarty is fab. Big little lies I think is the best!

You might like The Mega Pig File by David Jordan , it has plots and twists, also nonfiction !
