Which author's books would you buy unreservedly, knowing that you will definitely enjoy ?
My choice would be Deborah Moggach.

Christopher Brookmyre for me. There has only been 1 book of his that I struggled with to start (Bedlam) but I love his Tartan Noir style.

Forgot Ken Follett too just got into Mo Hayder lately. Also enjoy Elly Griffiths and always go back to Rumer Godden....

DerelictMyBalls · 17/08/2016 15:53

I can't help but wonder if all the people mentioning Stephen King have read Rose Madder, Dreamcatcher or The Tommyknockers!

TaraCarter · 20/08/2016 00:48

Ursula Le Guin.

Grin at Derelict.

TyneTeas · 20/08/2016 01:04

Ted Allbeury, though I doubt that there are many recent books

Also Gerald Seymour

forceslover · 22/08/2016 15:39

Ellie Griffiths - crime drama set in deepest darkest Norfolk- loved all of them so far. Agatha Christie. Penelope Lively.

Boogers · 22/08/2016 15:47

Mitch Albom
Kate Atkinson
Philippa Gregory
Gervase Phinn

Also Sue Townsend and Douglas Adams but sadly we'll never have any more from them. Eoin Colfer's attempt just didn't do it for me.

Margaret Atwood
Ursula le Guin
Bill Bryson
