A gripping read, albeit a rather disturbing and worrying read too. Without giving spoilers, definitely a page turner -one to read to the end!

angiehoggett · 09/08/2016 13:12

keeps you on the edge of your seat!

TiggersAngel7774 · 10/08/2016 22:34

Being an Aspies Mum i dont have the energy to read most nights. But I have tried my best even to read just few chapters as this book is so compelling a must read. If i wasnt always so tired I wouldnt put it down. So well written I am really enjoying it . If the rest of the book is as good as what i read I will be looking for other Hollie Overton books to read for sure

Just up my street. Whiled away my daily commute to work nicely-not the best book ever but engaging enough.

sjl19 · 12/08/2016 09:21

Sounds like a really gripping story. I missed out on the giveaway so will pick up a copy to read.

jazzitup · 12/08/2016 09:23

Really looking forward to reading this, sounds like I would really enjoy it.

Thank you mumsnet for my free copy. When the book first arrived my daughter too one look at it and whisked it away to read. Then her friend saw it and read 6 chapters very quickly and asked if she could borrow it. Finally it came back to me and it was well worth the wait. I really enjoyed it. I liked the short chapters and the different perspectives, including the abductor. Really enjoyed the relationship and special bond between the twins. Would happily recommend

Great read, gripping thriller that is from the point of view from a woman held captive. you also see the type of person her captor is, thinking he's too clever for his own good and therefore leaving the door open that enable's her to escape. Don't be put off by the name, great read

dirtypop · 15/08/2016 18:36

enjoyed this book, had a gripping storyline

toodles60 · 15/08/2016 19:10

An amazing and entertaining book that is also very moving. A story about survival. Lily is kidnapped as a teenager and eight years later she has a baby and escapes her captor. When she turns up on her parents doorstep she finds that many things have changed. A story that concentrates on the family and the consequences and changes the kidnapping has brought. An amazing book

ceroooss · 15/08/2016 21:21

A book that you can't put down- interesting characters and great plot!

janjan29 · 15/08/2016 21:51

Finished Baby Doll today. I really enjoyed it. I did wonder how the story would go starting from the escape but it was a real page turner with some unexpected twists. Very good.

Jocelynne123 · 15/08/2016 22:24

clarabella12 · 15/08/2016 22:52

Kept me on the edge of my seat and was gripped from start to finish

jamielmdjs · 16/08/2016 00:56

I knew i had heard a similar premise before - the film Room. Haven't seen it - just from the trailer. While this is not purely about the captivity and the escape, it's about what comes next. Resettling, coming to terms with what has happened and the emotional effect of those involved. Gripping, tense, thrilling, a great journey and a great start from the author. Looking forward to what else she brings to the table.

mumpetuk1 · 16/08/2016 11:17
