I'm happy that the new St Mary's book is out today. I love a good fantasy book, as reflected in my preorder list, which also has...

The Curse of Tenth Grave (A Charley Davidson novel, hence my username as I love these books) by Daryna Jones. An 11th book is also out in Jan.

And, much awaited, the new Kate Daniels book by Ilona Andrews, Magic Binds.

New Shetland is coming out later in the year IIRC.. Cold Earth by Ann Cleeves.

Thanks again for the Chronicles of St. Mary's recommendation. Eventually got them through my library. Whizzed through the 1st one in a day and am on the second.

Thoroughly enjoyable mix of plot, characters, history, fun and with a sprinkling of good sex! Great Grin

BagelGoesWalking · 08/06/2016 13:06

... and off to google Charley Davidson and Ilona Andrews

I'm waiting for the new Kate Atkinson book.........not sure if she knows she has to write it yet Grin

(Does anyone know if KA is actually going to write another book soon?)

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 26/06/2016 14:09

I've ordered the 1st St Mary's!

So, so many. The next Fitz and the Fool book by Robin Hobb, then book 6 in Vatta's War series by Elizabeth Moon. I'm vaguely fascinated* to know what happens in book 10 of Charley Davidson by Darynda Jones, which has just come out, but I don't think the library will have a copy yet.

Apparently Win by Vera Nazarian is imminent, but the author has had some set backs to her health. I'm also restraining myself from starting the Millennium's Rule set by Trudi Canavan until book 3 is released, simply because I'm waiting on so many already.

Another (published) work I'm waiting on at the library is Warheart by Terry Goodkind, although at this point I'm less interested in the story and more grimly curious how low his writing may have dipped in the concluding volume.

*Not quite a fan, sorry OP. Grin

Next Outlander book in the series #9. (I know. Obsessed.)

The Thinking Woman's Guide to Magic by Emily Croy Barker. It's a trilogy but it's taking a realllllly long time to get #2 out.

Went and ordered The Chronicles of St. Mary's. Excited to get into a new series!

Kate Atkinson is helping write the tv show the catch at the moment.

HappydaysArehere · 11/07/2016 09:54

Waiting for C.J. Sansom to write another Shardlake book.

madamehooch · 26/07/2016 21:00

The new Jilly Cooper. ..

Another vote for The Mirror and the Light - I just wish they could give us a clue WHEN! I never read hardbacks (like to slump and squish myself down to read and not hold something heavy) but I will have to make an exception for this one.

MaQueen · 28/07/2016 15:33

Another vote for The Mirror and the Light.

The next 'Jack Cafferey' (have huge crush on him) novel by Mo Hayder. No sign of it this year? Wonder why?

The next 'Charlie Parker' John Connelly novel, but that's not until next April. Boo.

I used to really look forward to a new Philippa Gregory, but they're just getting more and more lite Sad

MabelFurball · 06/08/2016 22:21

I am looking forward to the new Tama Janowitz book. She had a lot of novels out in the 80s but had dwindled a bit until now. The new book is a memoir.

BlindAssassin1 · 08/08/2016 08:51

Ian McEwan's new novel out next month, Nutshell. I loved Atonement and The Cement Garden and The Comfort of Strangers but hated the protagonist in Saturday and felt indifferent to Black Dogs. Interested in what this one brings.

MermaidofZennor · 08/08/2016 13:19

A new Ian McEwan you say? Interesting. Adds to list Smile

SpecialAgentFreyPie · 08/08/2016 13:24

Wrath - John Gwynne

jan the last book of The Passage series is out, I've read it Grin

southeastdweller · 10/08/2016 22:23

Other ones I'm looking forward to are the new Bridget Jones book, and the new book by Ian McEwan.
