As part of our ongoing campaign with Penguin Life to bring you books to inspire healthy living, this month we present Emotional Agility- psychologist Susan David’s guide to a new way of living and relating to yourself and the world around you.

Susan David has found that emotionally agile people experience the same stresses and setbacks as anyone else. The difference is that the emotionally agile know how to unhook themselves from unhelpful patterns, and how to create values-based success with better habits and behaviours. With Emotional Agility, you can find out how to become one of those people: learn to face your emotions with acceptance and generosity, act according to your deepest values, and flourish.

We've got 50 copies of Emotional Agility to give away to Mumsnetters who want to read and share their thoughts about it on this discussion. Go to the giveaway page to find out more about the book and apply for a free copy.

You don't have to win a free copy to take part in the discussion. Anyone who has read Emotional Agility can post their feedback here. If you miss out on a free copy, you can always buy a paperback. All who post feedback before 13 June will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Love2shop voucher.

Thank you for my copy which has taken me a little while to read. Unfortunately I found a lot of the content was not really that relevant to me personally. On the surface the book appears to be full of practical advice and tips but I suspect it may not be so easy putting it all into practice in reality. Not my usual choice of book.

Not made it very far through so far, but de something i want to pursue. Written in plain english rather than psycho-babble I can see this being enlightening and practical the deeper in to it I get.

Recently recieved my free Emotional Agility Book thank you Mumsnet. I am about to start chapter two. I was expecting to be gripped straight away but finding it a bit hard to get into. I know I have only just really started, and not having read many self help books maybe a few more chapters before I can give more feedback. I have just come out of a very stressful six months at work, gaining a promotion but not being given a position. Eventually I have successfully gained a post on promotion and due to start a new role in a new office in a new area, so I am hoping a gain greatly from this book and that I am able to put it into practice in my work and home life too. Thanks again Mumsnet

As I don't usually read self-help books, I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I am finding this book accessible and easy to read without it being "preachy". I think the general idea of making 'small tweaks' to one's behaviour and habits is an achievable approach. The sections which relate to children and teenagers are well written and I'm sure will be useful to many readers. It's a book I will share with friends and which will be useful to dip back into in the future. Thanks, Mumsnet, for giving me the opportunity to read something that's a bit different for me.

In about two thirds of the way through my free copy - thanks Mumsnet! It is really interesting, haven't read a self help book for years but I really enjoyed this and am trying to put some of the strategies into practice. I am a worrier, over things I should just let go, hopefully this book will help me do this. Thanks again for a valuable read.

I've received my copy - thank you! Just started reading it - only on chapter 2 so far but already I'm finding it really interesting. I am hoping that it is going to help me cope with the awful 'work life balance' situation that my family are currently in with my husband's job.

I received a copy of this from the book giveaway. I haven't read a lot of self help books and haven't yet finished this one! What I do like about this book is that it gives practical ways of changing the way you respond to events that you could actually manage to implement. I'm planning to try some of these out over the coming weeks and hope that it will help m to be more resilient.

I LOVE this book, it is well thought out and very interesting, I read the whole thing and then read it again straight away! As other posters have said, the complicated bit is integrating it into your own life, but I think you have to try one thing at a time. In fact, she talks about adopting new habits in the book, making them part of your daily life so that they become as natural as brushing your teeth every morning.
Thanks so much Mumsnet, I am so pleased I won this book! It was meant to be!
