I'll join you. What do you have in mind to read? I'm reading 'The Waterhorse' at the moment. I've never done a bookclub before, so I don't know the format.

DarrellRivers · 05/12/2006 18:33

I'd like to join

chocolaterobin · 05/12/2006 18:33

Me too.

McDreamy · 05/12/2006 18:37

Ok well I guess we need to nominate a book and then agree a time to come back and review. I am in an internet book club and we nominate each other to do the next book. Does that sound reasonable? Anyone any other ideas? Anyone want to start with a book nomination - happy to go with Roskva's "The Waterhorse" as she's already reading it? What do you think?

That sounds good, i have to go to work now so will check in tomorrow to see what else was decided.
I'm excited now, I used to belong to a book club in RL but since the move to the provinces haven't been part of one for ages.
speak tomorrow

RoskvaTheRedNosedReindeer · 05/12/2006 21:43

It's by Julia Gregson

sophiewd · 05/12/2006 22:17

Would like to join to if that's OK

chocolaterobin · 06/12/2006 01:26

Good point McDreamy i think we should leave the waterhouse until after xmas to review as like you said we may not have as much reading time as usual and need to finish what we are reading at the moment!
What do we all think of 16th Jan to review?

Everyone who has joined so far what are your current tastes in books or are you a read anything type of person?

McDreamy · 06/12/2006 05:59

Fantastic chocolaterobin the 16th Jan it is for our first book review - The Water Horse by Julia Gregson.

Not sure how we are going to choose our next book to read after that - if anyone has any ideas.....? Those of us that have joined now could all pick a book and we could just work through them or we could nominate someone else as our book is reviewed (which might be a little difficult as we don't know each other -yet!!......?)

I am happy to do any admin that is involved like making lists and working out who's chosen and book etc but any other ideas very welcomed

sophiewd · 06/12/2006 17:30

Juat odered my copy. Looks more interesting then RL book club book.

thechristmassyone · 06/12/2006 21:52

Can I join too (if that's ok?) I've just set up a reading group in RL our first meeting is late jan, so this will be a good practice. Will get book from library tomorrow. I'll read most things but will give up if I don't like it (I never used to, I'd finsh a book even if I hated it)

McDreamy · 07/12/2006 05:58

I've ordered my copy and eargerly waiting it's arrival. We have quite a few members now - 10 in all I think - that's better than my RL one!!!
