Really enjoyed reading this - anything similar you can recommend?

Mark Edwards, 'Because she loves me' and 'The Magpies'. Both psychological thrillers. The first was recommended on here ages ago along with 'Girl on the train' and I really enjoyed it.

Have you tried any Nicci French books? Some of those are similar. I presume you have also read Gone Girl?

tripfiction · 08/04/2015 13:14

"Her" might be worth considering...

evergoingincircles · 08/04/2015 17:02

Haven't ready any of those so will look them up. Thanks

The Lie

It's currently the big thing

VulvaVoom · 05/05/2015 16:36

The good girl and Daughter were both good similar reads. I'm going to try The Lie too I think.

tadpole39 · 05/05/2015 22:52

Just finished the lie, in less than one day! Enjoyed it.

sanssoleil · 05/05/2015 23:01

YY to Her,and I have just read Disclaimer by Renée Knight which has been cited as the next GOAT Grin

daimbardiva · 05/05/2015 23:03

Before I go to sleep by SJ Watson

DaisyQuantock · 05/05/2015 23:15

I Let You Go by Claire Mackintosh, very grippy and unsettling, couldn't put it down.

Broken Harbour by Tana French, actually anything by her is good.

Loved Elizabeth Haynes, Into The Darkest Corner but it scared me to death! But then I'm a Big Jessie. Grin

Apple Tree Yard, Louise Doughty also v good as is The Wicked Girls, Alex Marwood.

I'm reading Disclaimer (Renee Knight) at the moment ... might try The Lie next.

sanssoleil · 05/05/2015 23:23

 anything by Liane MoriartyÂ

Provencalroseparadox · 15/05/2015 07:11

Under your Skin by Sabine Durrant and also Alys Always by Harriet Lane

theliverpoolone · 17/05/2015 11:02

Another vote for I Let You Go. I couldn't put it down - a really gripping read (I had liked Girl on the Train, but wasn't as bowled over as I'd expected to be from reviews). Still have the character's and events from I Let You Go going round in my head - amazing first novel.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 17/05/2015 14:11

Mark Edwards The Magpies.

Have you read any of these?

A Kind of Intimacy by Jenn Ashworth. Annie moves into a new house and becomes interested in her new neighbour, but can't seem to escape her past.

Just What Kind of Mother Are You? by Paula Daly. A woman is asked to look after her friend's daughter, but the girl goes missing and she's not the first to vanish.

Keep Your Friend's Close by Paula Daly. Natty is called to an emergency and asks an old friend to help her out. But she soon has to question how well she ever knew this friend, as everything she thought she had starts to slip through her fingers.

Three Steps Behind You by Amy Bird. Dan is obsessed by his childhood friend Adam, but has his obsession led him to murder? And if so, will he kill again?

You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Korelitz. A therapist writes a book advising people that they should have known what would go wrong in their relationships before they even entered into them, however she then has to question what she should have known about her own life.

The Lonely Cool Before Dawn by Mary Torjussen. A woman takes in an inconvenient new lodger. The author is a MNer. She also wrote My Time, Your Time, in which a woman searches for a missing friend and doesn't know who to trust.

Before We Met by Lucie Whitehouse. Hannah thinks she has the perfect marriage, until the day her husband doesn't come home. I've read two of her other books, The Bed I Made and The House At Midnight as well and liked them both.

Black Is The Colour by Helen Howe. A woman moves in with her new boyfriend and finds a locked room and the ghosts of his past.

Gen12 · 25/05/2015 08:11

The quality of silence is coming out soon by Rosamund Lupton, she wrote sisters in 2013. I was sent an advanced copy to review - it's stunning.

bangbangprettypretty · 25/05/2015 08:27

Another recommendation here for Keep Your Friends Close by Paula Daly!

hollyisalovelyname · 01/11/2015 20:07

I too recommend 'What Kind of Mother are You?'

Cornishblues · 07/11/2015 20:35

Another vote for I Let You Go, and I'd also suggest A pleasure and a calling, phil hogan.

rosepepper2010 · 09/11/2015 13:08

I've read and enjoyed most of the books on here.

I think you might like "things we have in common" just finished it.

Great book!
