now, I didn't have a tv growing up, so all this bagpuss/clangers business is a bit lost on me, but dp very much into them and I do like the drawings and the welsh accents.

Now

First, has anyone got firsthand experience of this nogmaia business

and second, has anyone read oliver postgate's autobiography, called, I think, "seeing things" and is it any good? Here it is on amazon seeing things

thanks

Not the top left hand part of wales, but the bottom, middle bit of wales had lots! None brought their elephants though

The local Chinese doctors children went to the local Welsh speaking school and thus ended up tri lingual.

One of the daughters ws waiting at the bus stop and my aunty pitched up, wondered how long the bus would be and asked the girl, 'Have you been here long?' (meaning at the bus stop).

The girl said 'All my life!'

There must be something about Tiger Feet - my DS loved it when he was 3...

Blandmum · 22/10/2006 17:01

I have seen them do it live!

They were bloody great!

FrannyandZooey · 22/10/2006 17:05

Ds certainly loves it, he treats visitors to a great rendition including all the dances

He thinks "Tiger Feet" are someone's dressing up clothes, though. He keeps asking if we can get some

rustycreakingdoorbear · 22/10/2006 17:05

Seen this mb?

rustycreakingdoorbear · 22/10/2006 17:07

I did actually have some tiger feet slippers - with claws on, but I got rid of them after I fell downstairs wearing them!

Blandmum · 22/10/2006 17:07

Oh, poor man. How sad!

rustycreakingdoorbear · 22/10/2006 17:11

Like this but orange

FrannyandZooey · 22/10/2006 17:18

Oh lordy I must try to get him some for Christmas, rusty. He has a superb furry lion's head thing that covers his entire head - the feet would just finish it off

rustycreakingdoorbear · 22/10/2006 17:21

If you do get them, you must post a picture!

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 17:46

ah yes, those valleys

no, am not disputing this at all. I had thought though Ivor is Angelsey or maybe Lleyn Penninsula? Oh also, that it wasn't actually set in the 70s but earlier, maybe turn of the century.

Ah, have found a fab present for ds this year anyway

FrannyandZooey · 22/10/2006 17:50

Blandmum · 22/10/2006 17:50

'The' one The Rhondda.

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 17:56

Top half, the big one

why do you 'know' me in RL?

GhoulsToo · 22/10/2006 17:57

I thought Noggin was utterly dull.

Blandmum · 22/10/2006 17:58

I liked Noggin the Nog

God that is a very odd thing to type!

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 17:59

no just nosy

maybe I do know you

you never know

Blandmum · 22/10/2006 18:02

Where are you from.

Went to school in the place that has the male voice choir (she types cryptically)

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 22/10/2006 18:05

well that effing narrows it down

male voice choirs are so scarce in the Rhondda.

Am in cardiff but I looooove the Rhondda, I drive up there twice a week (for a reason, not just cos I love it) and it always makes me happy. Even though it invariably pisses with rain.

Treorchy

It always pisses with rain! The onlt time it didn't was the weekend I got married.

My kids can't believe how much it rains there.

We used to go to Cardiff on the train for 'special' shopping! Such fun!
