Has anyone read this? I was awake until 4am because I was so gripped by it! It's brilliant!

No but had been thinking of getting it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Cheshireblue · 25/01/2015 16:58

I have just started it! I feel a late night coming on

Southeastdweller · 25/01/2015 18:34

Really want to read this but can't afford to buy it - hopefully my library copy will be ready next week. I read today it's sold over 4,000 copies since it was published in the U.K just over a week ago - good for a hardback, even better for a debut author (though she's written books before under a pseudonym).

PresidentTwonk · 25/01/2015 18:54

Please come back when you've read it and we can discuss Smile I don't know anyone IRL who has read it!

imnottoofussed · 25/01/2015 19:00

thelittlebooktroll · 25/01/2015 19:28

Yes I have read itSmileLoved it. It was a real page-turner wasn't it?

Cheshireblue · 25/01/2015 20:00

I'm still going!! Can't put it down. Can somebody come and iron the school uniforms please?!

Sallystyle · 25/01/2015 22:27

Half the way through this now.

PresidentTwonk · 25/01/2015 23:55

Definitely a page turner! I kept thinking 'one more chapter' then I reached the end of the chapter and thought it again! It's amazing how just telling the 'morning' and 'evening' of someone's life can tell such a big story! It was so gripping and the end wasn't a let down which I was relieved about!

Had me totally hooked. Did not disappoint!

BigPawsBrown · 27/01/2015 00:14

FurryDogMother · 27/01/2015 00:23

Just bought it (for my Kindle) on the strength of this thread - am off to bed with it now!

PresidentTwonk · 27/01/2015 06:56

I hope you like it Furry!

It's the best book I've read in ages! If anyone has recommendations for similar books, I'd appreciate them Smile (my sleep pattern won't though Wink)

About to start it

BikeRunSki · 27/01/2015 07:06

Is this the book they were talking about on the Simon Mayo show yesterday afternoon? Sounds great.

Optimist1 · 27/01/2015 07:51

I'm halfway through it on an audiobook at the moment. It is intriguing, but I don't like any of the characters very much yet.

FurryDogMother · 27/01/2015 11:23

Read it overnight- and I loved it! Thanks so much for the recommendation- just wish it had been longer!

IHaveBrilloHair · 27/01/2015 12:56

Just finished it and loved it, long time since I read a book in one go.

BsshBosh · 27/01/2015 17:03

I've just started it. So far a very easy read.

chiefbrody · 27/01/2015 18:41

It is on the list........... looks really good.

what other books did she write under another name?

Southeastdweller · 27/01/2015 20:44

She wrote the books here under the name Amy Silver.

NellVarnish · 02/02/2015 19:56

Oh it's brilliant President - didn't want it to end, gripping and unputdownable.

I've just seen a tweet with a list of books in the vein of, 'If you liked The Girl On The Train then you'll like this.'

Will try to find the link ...

NellVarnish · 02/02/2015 20:01

Et voila!

From that list, love Tana French and have heard good things about Elizabeth Is Missing. Just started I Let You Go by Clare Macintosh which gets good reviews. Will report back.

PresidentTwonk · 02/02/2015 20:15

It's brilliant isn't it! I keep recommending it to everyone! Thank you for that list!!
