We have 50 books from the Tilly and Friends series, based on the popular CBeebies series by author Polly Dunbar. In The Best Day Ever, Tilly and her friends are having a play day at home, painting, dancing and dressing up and In Let's Get Wheeling, Tilly's makes that bold step from tricycle to two wheels on her new bike.

If you think your dcs would enjoy reading one of these two titles apply here - winners will either receive a copy of The Best Day Ever or Let's Get Wheeling. Don't forget to join the thread to chat about the book or post up a review if you receive a book.

Beautifully illustrated book with simple but lovely text. Sure to become a favourite as reading progresses. Thank you for our copy of The Best Day Ever.

We got our copy of the best day ever on Monday. Thank you.

The book is lovely, nice illustrations and storyline. I read it straight away to 4yo dd and 1.9yo ds and they wanted to read it again straight away. Then dd took it into pre-school to share at circle time.

Thank you for our DVD. Dd loves. Tilly and was overjoyed to have her own copy to watch whenever she wants. Lovely stories, lovely illustrations and really likeable characters. I enjoy it as much as Dd does!

The children at my Preschool loved 'Let's Get Wheeling' - thankyou for sending it! I think I've read it dozens of times now - particularly for a child whose name is Tilly! We had some interesting chats about trying new things, and being worried/ scared to do so was alright. I'm sure we'll read it a lot more!

A beautifully illustrated book, the story of Let's Get Wheeling is a lovely social story which showed my 'A' how trying new things isn't scary. She loved the fact it was connected to the TV programme and told me who all the characters were before we got up them in the story which was nice. I think these stories appeal to a large age range and reading ability. And we love Tilly - she is so sweet and polite. Thank you!

I was so excited to get a copy of BestDay Ever but I'm sad to say I don't love it :(
I adore the 6 books of the original series and have read and read them to my children and this just didn't have the same appeal. Maybe I just don't like things being messed with as I even got miffed by the using of different fonts! These are probably lovely for fans of the tv series who are not passionate about the original series but this just seemed not quite right to me, the characters not quite true to themselves, sorry.

We received a copy of 'The Best Day Ever'. I wondered if my ds (4) was getting a little too old for this type of picture book. However, it went down quite well. He was able to read a few of the words on each page, so we shared the reading together. It also gave me the idea of starting a scrapbook together over the summer holidays. Something I enjoyed doing as a child and totally forgot about until now. A very cute picture book. Thank you for sending it to us.

We received The Best Day Ever and as soon as she saw it, DD declared 'It's my book!' and proceeded to carry it around with her for the whole day. She loved the story, although I don't think she got any idea what the scrapbooking bit was about. Maybe she was a bit too young for it (not yet 3) or i'm just not that into craft and couldn't explain the concept well to her.

This said, it's a really beautiful book, I love the characters and the drawings, the colours are gorgeous and it will become a regular in our bedtime routine.

My 4 year-old son won a copy of 'The Best Day Ever' (which came addressed to him which he LOVED!). We received it a few weeks ago and he has wanted to read it every evening at bedtime. He watches the programme so knows the characters well. He has really enjoyed reading the story of a great day Tilly spends with her friends playing tiddly winks, painting, dancing and eating sandwiches. Great illustrations and mum doesn't mind reading this one repeatedly Grin He wants to get the other books mentioned on the back now. Thanks Mumsnet for our copy!

The images are lovely and there is a lot of activity on each page. This gives the reader a good chance to expand the story. This is good if you want a quick read or an more imagination expanding moment. The only negative I have is understanding which characters are who. Some are really easy to work out but there are some we just guessed who they were.
Thank you for the book, it was wonderful.

Thank you so much for sending us a copy of 'The Best Day Ever'. We took it on our holidays and it kept my four year old and two year old amused for ages. Luckily they knew the characters better than I did, so I'd say this is a must-have for fans of the TV show! The animals are really varied and have great names, so we played 'make the animal noise' with my two year old in addition to reading the story which my four year old was more interested in. Thank you so much Mumsnet!
