Do you have a book that you regularly reread or is your literary comfort blanket?
Mine is The secret diary of Adrian Mole - the first one

Any of the "what Katy did" books.
Most of Georgette Heyers, and Andrea Camilleri's "Montalbano" books, as there's so much in them that makes me laugh. Another one that I've read til it's held together will tape is "Mist over Pendle"

Anne of green gables, and the rest of the series

Grand Sophy, have it on my Kindle and paperback. I read it at least once a year, my go-to comfort book. But most of Georgette Heyer works, just not as quickly.
Terry Pratchett, usually a Watch one.

Have lots of my childhood favourites on my Kindle. Anne of Green Gables series, Emily of New Moon and lots of Rosemary Sutcliffe. All are brilliant for escaping into...

I can supply quite a few children's books, amongst others.

Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Weirdstone of Brisingamen, Watership Down, My Family and Other Animals, Bridget Jones 2, Austen generally, Redwall.

I'm with GinGirl - The Grand Sophy is my ultimate comfort read but nearly all of Georgette Heyer works. Other favourites are Venetia, Regency Buck, These Old Shades and The Talisman Ring. DH regularly has to promise to ride ventre a terre to my death bed

Yes to Jilly cooper. Now I have kindle ones so they won't fall apart!

Anything by Mary Stewart, gentle, well-written romances, but I love the Merlin ones too.

Just re-reading previous posts - Goodnight Mister Tom is a wonderful book, I just about knew it off by heart when I was a teenager. I still think of pyjamas as 'pie-jarmers'

This has given me lots of inspiration for re-reads.
Think I'll start with 'Anne of Green Gables' . I loved those books.
