The book you return to again and again. I have just finished reading three new quite heavy books and fancy re reading something that I've enjoyed before so hoping to pick your collective brains Grin

I love to read "This book will save your life" by A.M. Holmes, also known in my house as 'the donut book' because of its yummy front cover. I read it whenever I'm down and it always soothes me. It reminds me that if life isn't going as you want it to, you have the power to change it.

Lovely thread op- I've picked up lots of good tips.

But my go to author when I need comfort is Alexander McCall Smith, who is fortunately so prolific there's no need to re read!

The dark is rising series by Susan Cooper - must be read out loud to a smallish child in the winter….repeatedly
Jennifer Cruise - welcome to temptation - I don't know why, but I can re read it endlessly
Possession - AS Byatt - lots of books within books and a comforting love story too !
