same here ucm - marslady said she posted (I think the grisham one? whichever one you had after all quiet on the orient express) last week, but it hasn't arrived. i'll happily post another of mine onto bumbleweed on the 9th though. how did it happen that we're now posting on a wednesday? hope i didn't hold people up too much the last couple of times - i've been aiming for the weekend!

hi, been busy, so sorry i didn't respond to questions.
i have read hide & seek, and posted it early as i'm off on holiday tomorrow.
assuming there is a book ready for me when i get back (20th) I will read & post by the next weekend (25th). Is that OK?

Ok I think we should move this posting date to the 19th this time and then 3 weeks after that. F&Z, can you be patient until then. If not I will send you an extra book to keep you busy

I reckon if we keep waiting for everyone to get their books we will grind to a sickening halt. Me and Boris are champing at the bit, we want to get our hands on more of these Ker-azy rockin' books, c'mon guys....

Mine are ready to send (anyone got a link for empty chair review please?) but haven't been sent yet- awaiting pay from WTC. Sorry they left us a bit stranded at the mo, assured it will be with us 9th at the very latest. Do have cash to send one on tho if PP ready for it?

OK, so if we all guaranttee absolutely brownies honour to post the next books by the 19th, then can we go to once a fortnight? perhaps we should have some hideous forfit for anybody who posts late! - we could take a page out of their book as it goes round, so it goes home mutilated and naked.

I personally think 3 weeks is about right but could go to 2 weeks if people prefer.

I am up for whatever people wish to do. TBH if a book grabs me, I read it in about 2 days anyway...sadly staying up all night and giving myself a very tired day the next day cos I is impatient like F&Z

I will go with whatever people choose but I do think we need to get back in synch !

Oh stick with the 9th, go on. If you haven't got a book or haven't had time to read the one you've been sent, just press on regardless. Bung in a spare book of your own if we get stuck, or let me know, I am more than happy to chuck in an extra one at any point. Hopefully if we keep things moving we will all get at least some books to read over the year, and if some people keep being unable to send on time, perhaps they would care to, erm, reconsider their part in the swap?

UCM do you have time to send out another email reminding everyone to post something this week and again in 3 weeks, or perhaps bow out of the swop? Nikkie is right about needing to get in synch, and I don't think everyone checks on this thread as frequently as the rest of us addicts.

Soz havent been to this thread for a while but have been reading my book! I currently have 'All Quiet on the Orient Express' by Magnus Mills (thanks to Kipper's very prompt forwarding on) and am nearly finished.

Right this is a private NOT pubic swap , so bloody well behave. i have to say I am a bit disappointed that people are having to send books which are not part of the original swap.

just wanted to add that I have been part of a couple of these type of swaps (arts & crafts) and I have had to pull out before because it was not convenient at the time. Pulling out is fine AS LONG AS YOU let everyone else know
