Are there any fans out there in the erudite world of Mumsnet Bookclub?
I know the critics view his books as formulaic and of no critical value but I love his work and imo, an author who can transport me into another world with engrossing stories, is very talented. I find his dry wit, pithy delivery and sardonic undertones humorous and once I immerse myself into one of his novels, I find it difficult to put down. DH loves him too and we are on a mission to read all his books (I've read about 8 so far).
I've just finished reading The Broker and it was superb. As the drama unfolded, my heart was racing as I was cheering on the anti-hero. A thoroughly enjoyable and absorbing read. Despite that, I think my favourite book is between The Street Lawyer (I finished that in one day when I was on holiday) and The Partner. I know you might find this strange but I found the ending in the Partner so sad and so unexpected that it played on my mind for days
. Again, I felt so sorry for the anti-hero.
Anyway, which is your favourite Grisham book?
