Supposedly, it's a brilliant novel, anyone read it?

Someone suggested this book to me but I hated Twilight so thinking I shouldn't bother.

I've read all three, basically because I'm the type of person who has to get to the end of a bad film. It's ok for an easy read and as someone said author seems to run out of new ways to describe an orgasm and ends up repeating herself - mind you, there are a lot in there, but if you take all the sex out there is not much else to the story. Having met a few strange characters by web-dating who all seemed to have mother issues, I can see there's some truth to it lol. Though the first book makes you wonder how far the BDSM will go, it doesn't progress much further and is largely hearts and flowers

oh I see. I had a bad experience with bdsm in a relationship so I wasn't sure if I wanted to read it. Are the characters wooden? I found the twilight characters awfully wooden and realised I couldn't have cared less about them. So didn't even finish the first book.

I love escapism, anything that takes me out of this place and my mind can put me in another is just the ticket.

I don't need well drawn characters, for me it's scene setting that's really important - I just need inspiration when I don't have the energy to day dream, I tend to flesh out the rest myself.
