I am reading Julian Barnes The Sense of an Ending. Loving it.
Also Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I have never read them before Blush but am in the process of reading them to/with ds and thoroughly enjoying them.
Have got so many books piled up to read it is really quite exciting!

Just finished "Before i go to sleep". Loved it!

I was just about to start Snowdrops - FIL has lent it to me. I spotted it on his shelf, as I knew it was the MN book of the month so thought, hey, I'll actually read this one. He warned me "it's a bit light, so as long as you aren't expecting anything too meaty, you'll be ok!"

I think I'll read it this weekend, and now I'm not really expecting much, maybe I'll really enjoy it!

After that, probably Before I go to Sleep as I think our book club is going to select it for February's book....

I'm about to start State of Fear - Michael Crichton.

Have whizzed through all the Jo Nesbos and thought most of them were great! This was much helped by the fluent translation. Have pre-ordered his new book out in March!

Have just joined a book group and we are reading an 'Agatha Raisin' book by MC Beaton. I'm trying to believe that the author's writing a parody of serious crime fiction, but I have a feeling it's just crap. I've read stories better written by 8 year olds! Those short sentences, the lists of descriptions, the repetition.... ugh.

I'm reading Bonnes Vacances, a book MN sent me and am loving it! I wasn't sure it would be my cup of tea but it is a brilliant read. It does make me want to pack my bags and take my DH and kids on a round-the-world adventure though, so watch this space.
:)

'Hearts and Minds' by Amanda Craig. Thoroughly absorbing tale of inter-connecting characters in London which examines the issue of immigration. Extremely thought provoking. Lives on after you've finished it (last week). Also, "Swallows & Amazons" with the DC's. We're all loving it.

Just about to start Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes (who I met at Waterstones last week, very nice lady)

Just finished Why Be Happy when You Can Be Normal by Jeanette Winterson. The first autobiography I've read. It was good yet not as good as I'd imagined, can't explain why?!

Ooh Posey, do you? She seemed very Mumsnetty except when she wrote that the kids were missing Facebook, she didn't mention Mumsnet. Unless she is a secret MNetter.

Just finishes " The Day of the lie" William Brodrick , and started "The mark we make" dickon Abbott (poetry). I chose both for personal reasons and haven't been disappointed.
