I don't have it yet, but I know I am going to want to talk about it.

Amazon are sending it - I had to buy a paper copy rather than Kindle so I can give it to people and make them read it.

So.... yeah.

But that whole Royal Wedding spoof in The Times Magazine was dreadfull.

"TrillianAstra Thu 16-Jun-11 14:42:55

Kindle version still only £3.78"

I don't think I would lie...

Sorry, thought you were being shocked at the craziness of the price jumping up and down! (as you should be, WTF is going on?)

BabeRuthless · 17/06/2011 21:31

As a random aside I know someone who interviewed Henry Rollins & said he was an incredibly difficult interview until she mentioned that she'd helped to do sound at a gig he'd played. As soon as she told him that he just switched & then she said was one of the best interviews she ever did. He still comes out of that story sounding like a knob though.

Massively excited about the webchat now, almost makes up for the kindle price rise.

TrilllianAstra · 19/06/2011 12:40

Has anyone else read the birth chapter and got the impression that Caitlin blames herself a little for how awful her first birth was? Like she made the baby be facing the wrong way head-on-spine (I don't know the proper words) because she was scared and panicing and not visualising her cervix opening like a flower?

TanteRose · 19/06/2011 12:58

she's coming for a webchat? Grin
hurrah!

I read the some of the birth chapter in the Times, and was nearly in tears because of the awfulness of her first birth, and then happy tears when she gave birth the second time...Blush

Taffeta · 19/06/2011 17:11

I've finished it, I couldn't put it down. Absolutely bloody brilliant.

BabeRuthless · 20/06/2011 12:33

Just to let everyone know, the kindle price has gone down again. It's now a much more reasonable, if random £4.19 (do they pull these prices out of their arses or what?)

TrilllianAstra · 20/06/2011 12:49

Maybe they have a random number generator...

TanteRose · 20/06/2011 13:36

My copy arrived today, and I have been glued to the sofa reading it all evening..my family have been asking why I have been snorting and hooting with laughter Grin

It is vvv good, and I'm only on page 140...

transferbalance · 20/06/2011 13:44

I think kindle prices are set by the publisher/ writer rather than Amazon?

TrilllianAstra · 20/06/2011 18:45

If that's the case transfer then why have the publisher had it be at 3 different prices in the time it has been on sale?

transferbalance · 20/06/2011 18:58

I was just asking Hmm I have no idea why

TrilllianAstra · 20/06/2011 19:26

Well either Amazon or the publisher or both are playing silly buggers! :o

TanteRose · 21/06/2011 02:12

This is great - John Crace's Digested Read Grin

even though he always takes the piss, this time he makes the book sound fab!

TrilllianAstra · 21/06/2011 09:06

If in doubt, just ask yourself, what would Caitlin do???? :o

Unfortunately what Caitlin would do is, in most situations, probably a bit loud and extrovert and energetic for me.

Brices · 23/06/2011 20:47

Thank you Caitlin, not finished book yet, but as a direct consequence of reading I have eaten a satisfying meal. Had been struggling dieting following birth of daughter four months ago. Can't tell you how much better I feel. And I am FATTER than I was pre-pregnancy x

Kniternator · 29/06/2011 06:51

Just finished it last night. Couldn't put it down. I identified with so much, and laughed a lot too.

RoundOrangeHead · 29/06/2011 08:13

can't get around calling her CATlin though

TanteRose · 29/06/2011 08:16

wonder when the Live webchat will be? (MNHQ promised one)

MrsLadywoman · 01/07/2011 10:07

Was up til 2am last night reading it and trying not to wake DH with my snorts of laughter and suppressed giggles making the mattress shake.

Himalaya · 07/07/2011 11:09

Enjoying it very much
