Has it not been banned for using the word naughty?

Janh · 15/09/2005 23:07

No new books on amazon but lots of used ones.

Actually I used to have a book with 3 or 4 stories in, not sure if I still have it but if I do you'd be welcome to it, I'll have a look tomorrow.

My children alwyas loved them, still do actually. You can get audiobooks of them which are great for car rides

puddle · 15/09/2005 23:14

Misdee I read them to my children but I do update the language a bit and skip some bits too. The party one is a classic though! I remember reading that when I was little, plus the one where she goes to school (the teacher agrees to look after MNLS for a whole day - how likely is that?) and where she bites father Christmas's finger.

tamum · 15/09/2005 23:15

Yes, actually you might want to edit the one where the father is forced by the evil mother to look after his own child for a couple of hours

Mrs Cocoa Jones, whose husband made a little gate in the garden for MNLS to go and visit them. They had no children of their own.

Janh · 15/09/2005 23:39

Oh is that why MrsCocoaJones sounded so familiar!!! (It's MaloryTowers's alternate MN name )

puddle · 15/09/2005 23:40

The father looks after MNLS and goes off to work in his study. And loses her. She's down at the shoe menders IIRC.

spidermama · 15/09/2005 23:44

We love these stories.
In one she has measles and no-one bats an eyelid. Instead the kind neighbour, Mrs. CoCo Jones, brings round a box of special little bits and pieces which is reserved for ill people. It's fab!

roisin · 16/09/2005 02:35

My boys both loved these stories!

hoxtonchick · 16/09/2005 07:35

oh i loved these, we had some on a record too.

Hulababy · 16/09/2005 09:29

We have a couple of these books now. really want them on audio CD for the car too, as 3yo DD loves them so much. Only available of cassette at moment though DD adores them - they appeal to her own naughty side I guess We have to read one of the stories most nights for her bedtime story.

You can buy them all over - Asda, WHSmith, Waterstones, etc. So far I have seen 4 different books I think.

DD likes the story when My Naughty Little Sister and Bad Harry eat the trifle too

Another set of books, along same lines, that she enjoys is Naughty Amelia Jane.
