Ive just finished My Sisters Keeper and recently read Time Travellers wife.

Previously read a lot of non fiction, but also read Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I have these books...

Captain Corellis Mandolin

The Bookseller of Kabul

and Notes on a Scandel by Zoe Heller.

Which one?, you decide.

notes on a scandal. liked that much more than i expected to. but haven't read the others, so not much of a recommendation i suppose

poglepuss · 02/09/2005 22:28

Notes on a Scandal is good ... so's Captain Corelli tho. But I've read all the Jodi Picoult books and loved them ALL so if you enjoyed My Sisters Keeper maybe you should get more of hers? ...

madmarchhare · 02/09/2005 22:29

No, but thats what I'll read tonight if I dont get any more takers .

The Bookseller of Kabul was good but Notes on a Scandal was great too and a nice quick easy read. Captain Corelli, still gathering dust on my bookshelves so I cannot comment there.

Lonelymum · 02/09/2005 22:30

I have just started Capn Corelli's Mandolin and I have to say it is not very easy to get into otherwise I would be in bed reading it now and not faffing about here.

KateF · 02/09/2005 22:31

Just finished the Bookseller of Kabul - v.interesting. Will pinch ideas from your list as havn't read any of the others.

3PRINCESSES · 02/09/2005 22:32

Notes on a Scandal, definitely. 'Mushrooms in a white linen hanky'-- she certainly has a great turn of phrase.

JoolsToo · 02/09/2005 22:32

if you enjoyed My Sister's Keeper - you should enjoy The Pact (Josi Picoult) on sale at Tesco!

ps Captain Correlli was pants!

Definitely must buy Notes on a Scandal. Have to admit not come across it before but don't get into bookshops as much as I used to. Will come here for recommendations!
