I have 3 stone to lose and went to my first meeting last night.

I would love to have (and give) some encouragement and the odd kick up the backside to keep on track.

All hints and tips from people who are managing well on ww would be really appreciated too.

I had the most scrummy soup from Greggs! A Thai chicken coconut jobby. Wouldn't mind a go at making that. I've never made soup.

Week 2 weigh in and I've lost a massive 3lb, I'm so pleased. 5lb in total. I'm menopausal and have struggled over and over to see any kind of result and end up giving up but this actually works.

I don't feel like I'm 'dieting' just more aware of what I'm eating and making better choices. I think the structure of the points system is brilliant, there aren't any foods I cannot have and I haven't denied myself of something I wanted.

5lb down 23lb to go. I'm starting to feel a bit more confident about the whole process of having my wedding dress made now and being able to carry it off on the day.

I hope everyone is doing ok.

Well done, that's a fab result!

Yesterday was a total write-off for me, I ate far too many halloween bits at work and then DH surprised me in town so we went for burgers Hmm

I'm annoyed at myself because I've been totally on the ball for 12 weeks now and in the space of three days I've eaten probably a week's worth of calories.

Anyway, I'm not punishing myself for it. I have a lifetime of EDs behind me and I really don't want to fall into that binge/restrict cycle again. Back to eating normally and if I feel hungry, I'll eat. Better to be over my total points for a week than to fall into old patterns and set myself back a month.

MaidenMotherCrone · 31/10/2017 09:36

@amusedbush well done for sensibly seeing the bigger picture.

You are 12 weeks in, you've been great at eating well, recognise your achievement. You are right to dust yourself off and move forward. You have given me a tool to use when I find myself in the same situation ( which I will) The biggest hurdle is a mental one not a physical one.

amusedbush · 31/10/2017 09:48

Thank you. Every instinct I have is screaming at me to restrict but I've been down that road for 15 years now and it just leads to binges and weight gain. One week will not undo all of my hard work and logically I know that. I just need to trust the process.

Susimoo · 31/10/2017 12:57

Yesterday was weigh in day numero uno. Not as bad as I expected, especially as I am used to weighing myself in the bathroom stark bollock naked. 🙈
So I have 20 pounds to lose. More than my first ever WW journey, less than others. I just hope that like the first time it'll "click" and I will keep the weight off for years.
I eat pretty healthily anyway, it's my sweet tooth and my weekend vodka intake that causes me problems. 😝
I have also recently swapped nuts for crisps etc, so need to knock that on the head and get back to carrot sticks and plain popcorn.

The new system certainly discourages sugar intake which is good. I did buy some of the boxes of (minisclue 😄) Ww bars to help my and sweet tooth last the week.
I was gobsmacked to see that a Starbucks twizzle which is less than 150 cal is 8 new WW points. 😳

That used to my little treat. Now it's almost a third of my daily allowance 😱

I'll keep reading and will update next week.

Well done to all those who have lost or are getting back to it and good luck to all those just starting out.

Howlongtillbedtime · 31/10/2017 19:08

Hello all , some fab losses from everyone. I have been on ho!iday this last week and was dreading weigh in tonight but I have moist 1 pound which I am very relieved about. I really did have a great week but ate and drank far too much .

Back on it now and hoping for a better week this week.

1.5 lbs off! It’s a start. Anyone know what happens with Monthly Pass paperwork? I’ve been using the photo on my phone if my first one for classes. It expires 14/11 payment was taken from my debit card today, will I get sent a Wee card for when that one expires? TIA

MaidenMotherCrone · 01/11/2017 09:38

That's a great loss @Lidlfix . Well done.

mummyof2munchkins · 02/11/2017 20:57

Bloomin heck... I've only made the mistake of eating a slimmers world meal before checking the points value. Pasta and meatballs, 17 flippin points. It's weigh in tomorrow. Can't even say i enjoyed it. I thought i was being good. Could have had a pie for that.

MaidenMotherCrone · 07/11/2017 11:25

Wk 3 weigh in. Another lb off, 6lb in total. Yay and double Yay 👏🏼👏🏼.

How's everyone getting on?

KnightsOfCydonia · 07/11/2017 12:23

Hi, can I join you all please.
I joined WW last Tuesday couldn’t stay for class on first week as I had to get to work so didn’t get off to the best start.
I had my weigh in this morning and lost half a pound.
I have around 4 stone to lose in total, at the moment it seems almost impossible that I’ll ever get there so at the moment I’m trying to focus on half a stone at a time.

Susimoo · 07/11/2017 12:35

Hi everyone
Week one weigh in was three and a half pounds off. I am delighted. Especially seeing as I have been pointing something I eat regularly, incorrectly. Quorn mini sausage rolls. I was over the moon when they scanned as one point. Never noticed till six days in (and a fair few had been consumed) that there are actually four portions in one sausage roll 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳

So yeah, delighted I actually lost weight 😂

Damn you pesky portion loophole!!

RubySlippers77 · 07/11/2017 23:19

Well done to everyone who has lost weight!! I thought I was being really careful last week - cut out cakes, chocolate etc - but it turns out I actually put on 2lb Sad no idea if that's because I was eating crap for ages beforehand and it's caught up with me...

So of course yesterday and today I have had a 'sod it' attitude and fallen into piles of cake Blush

I think I need to be more accountable somehow, but none of the local WW/ SW groups are particularly inspirational, and it's such a pain to go with toddlers in tow. I lost the weight last time going to SW but the leader there was a fair bit overweight herself! I never stayed for meetings either which makes me feel like I was wasting £££. But I clearly need to do something to shift the flab...

Mummyof2 - I am shocked too at that Points total!!

Susimoo · 13/11/2017 07:38

It's weigh in day. Just checked that and they walloped off seven points per day due to the new system. 😳😳😳😳😳

It appears they have added lots of new zero points food. As a vegetarian, now almost vegan this means lentils and tofu for me. It could be very good but I had a major wobble when I saw that number go down.

Plus you can carry forward up to 4 daily points and bank them in your weekly allowance.

I can't stay for the meeting today so I'll be looking to hear all your thoughts later this week.

Good luck everyone.

Chris7411 · 13/11/2017 17:17

Hi guys,
I would like to lose 8 stone, and have read how supportive you all are, and its refreshing to read. Ive started today. Control is an issue, I hope I last at leadt a week! 😬

Nicolbeek · 13/11/2017 23:07

Hey guys- you lot are ace! I’m on SW at the moment but I’ve been on it before, lost 10lbs, sacked it off, put on 14lbs and now I’m on it again. After going up and down each week, I’m on my second round of 12 week bookings, bought all the books- and I’ve lost HALF A POUND IN 17 weeks! So now I’m interested in WW. Can you sell it to me? I like the idea of not having to plan meals all the time as I get so bored of randomly going out and then it ruining the whole week for Monday weigh ins....

Help me... 😂🙈

MaidenMotherCrone · 14/11/2017 10:04

Wk4 weigh in and I've lost a big fat 0 and 7 daily points to add insult to injury!

I actually weighed myself mid week and had gone down 2lbs (and had broken into the next stone bracket). I'm hoping thinking this may be down to ovulation bloating. Bloody, bloody hormones.

Apparently the best way to beat this water retention is to drink more water which seems odd but I'll give it a go.

Onwards and upwards (or downwards if you are looking at the scales!)

Keep fighting the good fight comrades!

Susimoo · 15/11/2017 07:55

Hi everyone!!

I meant to post my huge loss. Half a pound. Half a stinking pound. I was raging😡😄

I had doubled my fit points and had followed the plan and that's all I lost. I got the "it'll be muscle" comment. You can keep the muscle, let those bloody numbers go down, damn it. 😂

Anyway I'm enjoying the free food and saving points for Friday nights girls out. Monday will be interesting. 🙄

Have a great week everyone. 💐

pullthecracker · 15/11/2017 20:19

I’ve just joined online tonight , it looks ok to follow, hope it is!

sez49 · 15/11/2017 23:30

Keep going with it. It is extremely frustrating when the scales don’t move, or go in the wrong direction. I have experienced this numerous times since I started my journey, it does eventually sort itself out. I seem to be currently on another one of my few week plateaus. Could be hormone/water retention related, or increased activity related, or both. My previous plateaus have coincided with increased/new activity and have taken a few weeks before the weight started shifting again. I also regularly get a gain pretty much every month. It does work, so try not to get disheartened. I am 10st lighter and still sticking with it.

If you increase your exercise and don’t see the results on the scales, measure yourself, you could be losing inches.

pullthecracker · 16/11/2017 22:37

10st?!! That’s amazing! That has definitely spurred me on!

MaidenMotherCrone · 17/11/2017 10:53

Arg!! Yesterday was a complete shambles. Off the Waffle (oh god), sausage rolls and toad in the hole followed by chocolate!

Back to it today, feeling a bit disheartened but must stick at it.

palmfronds · 27/11/2017 09:56

How's everyone doing this week?

I've had a truly piggy couple of weeks due to birthdays and too many meals out... I did manage to lose a stone but have put about 4 pounds back on now Blush

Going to try and be really disciplined this week so I'm not shamed at my next weigh-in
