I have 3 stone to lose and went to my first meeting last night.

I would love to have (and give) some encouragement and the odd kick up the backside to keep on track.

All hints and tips from people who are managing well on ww would be really appreciated too.

Hi butterflies , at my first meeting I filled a form out , was weighed and given a mini goal of half a stone. I was then given the pack which has the books in that explains everything. The app is great and converts everything intio points for you . I dont eat any ww food and have found it easy to follow do far.

Also everyone was really friendly but in a nice smile and a hello way rather than a cheesy clappy way 😁

Good luck with it !

Thanks for the info, makes me feel a little better. Just have to pluck up the courage to walk through the doors 😬

Howlongtillbedtime · 19/10/2017 07:16

That is the hardest bit but everyone is there for the same reason and once you get started you will be so pleased !

Some people do just online because they can't face the group's but I need that weekly contact .

I'm an online member starting tomorrow!

3 stone to lose. I am about 13 stone and want to be 10 stone. I am online because the two groups near me both meet at a time I am working.

I am anxious because previously I have found it hard to stick to the points- and I really dislike the new website layout!

palmfronds · 19/10/2017 15:45

Butterflies don't worry, I felt exactly the same but noone batted an eyelid and everyone was friendly, it wasn't scary at all once I was there!

Secret have you tried No Count? Much easier as you can eat as much as you like (within reason) of loads of different foods so you don't have to be counting points all the time. I've found it really easy to stick to my weekly points allowance (mostly goes on wine...)

MaidenMotherCrone · 19/10/2017 17:53

Well today is day 3 (online only) and so far so good. I'm really surprised at how well it's going. Fingers crossed I don't mess up.

Hope everyone is staying positive and on track.

Maverick66 · 19/10/2017 18:07

Hi everyone,
I joined weighing in at 19 stone 🙈
This is my 58th week.
I have lost 56 pounds.
Great thread.

MaidenMotherCrone · 19/10/2017 18:38

@Maverick66 congratulations Flowers You are an inspiration Smile

Maverick66 · 19/10/2017 23:03

Thank you maiden Smile
I can really recommend WW.
I have a fantastic supportive group and also a 'closed' Facebook group which really helps.

SecretSmellies · 20/10/2017 10:03

Good morning!

I forgot to weigh in this morning so not sure how much I actually weigh!

I will look into No Count, palm thanks. It might be a good idea for me because I get frustrated when I can't stay in points.

Maverick you are inspirational!

I had weetabix, and loads of fruit for breakfast this morning...... 7 points! I know they are healthy but I resisted the nuts and seeds I usually add.I am starting well. :)

Maverick66 · 20/10/2017 20:32

You could swap your weetabix for shredded wheat.
I recommend you search on You Tube for a lady called Lisa Coleman.
Lisa has lost 14 stones and puts lots of recipe ideas on You Tube.

Mrs40 · 21/10/2017 18:47

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I seem to be getting into the swing of it better now and avoiding food that is high in points.

Have found Aldi chicken breasts (Cajun style) which are only 2 points per breast. Totally delicious. Would recommend.

I'm also eating a lot of prawns which are very low in points.

Mrs40 · 21/10/2017 18:53

Ps maverick your loss is amazing!

mummyof2munchkins · 21/10/2017 19:29

First weigh in yesterday, can't believe it but i've lost 7lb. Just need to keep going and make sure i don't loose momentum during that difficult second week.

Well done to everybody who is keeping on keeping on.

xxx

bellalou1234 · 21/10/2017 19:36

Maverick66 · 21/10/2017 23:30

Thank you Mrs And Mummy just take it one day at a time.
Look at bigger picture and visualise yourself at Christmas. A 1lb per week loss from now until Christmas would make a big difference.

urbanturban · 22/10/2017 09:06

Can I join you all please?
Joined last Wednesday and hoping to lose around three stones-a mixture of medication and overeating has left me feeling really sluggish!
Have also just been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (aged 39) so I know the extra weight isn’t helping the pain in my knees and ankles!

First weigh in on Wednesday! 🙈

palmfronds · 22/10/2017 10:06

Hi turban, well done for getting started!

And well done to everyone else for your losses! Mummyofmunchkins that's an amazing loss, well done. I missed weigh-in this week but weighed myself at home - another 3 pounds down, that's half a stone in two weeks. Feeling pretty chuffed especially since this week's points were blown completely after a night of drinking champagne and a huge Italian meal out.

Watchingcountryfile · 22/10/2017 18:29

Hello.
I've just joined online. It's not the greatest timing because I'm going on holiday tomorrow. However, I thought it might curb some of the temptation.
I have tried all sorts of diets but I'm just getting fatter and fatter. My most recent idea was to join the low carb bootcamp but I can't stick to anything. Eating lots of fat sounds great but not if you cave in and eat something carby.
I need to folllow a plan that is compatible with everyday life. Things that my family will eat too.
Fingers crossed for us all. So many of you have made a great start.

mummyof2munchkins · 22/10/2017 21:58

Thank you Palm and Maverick. Having a difficult time this weekend. Just having a very large glass of wine which i suspect is around 15 points. Will just have to make sure i'm sticking to my points very strictly from tomorrow. I will not let this be an excuse to return to my unhealthy munching and snacking ways, must keep on saying that over and over again.

Why oh why can't i be naturally slim whilst eating and drinking as much as i'd like. Wish melting fat was my super power Hmm

Kellz92 · 22/10/2017 22:21

Hi! Hope you don't mind me joining. I joined ww online on Thursday. So far so good and I'm enjoying it! I have a lot to lose after having a baby this year x

Maverick66 · 22/10/2017 22:31

Watching. The beauty of WW is that you can fit it into every day life. Enjoy your holiday before being too sore on yourselfWink
Mummy you've had a bad weekend, that is life, enjoy your wine don't beat yourself up and get back at it tomorrow.
Kelly congrats on your baby and just take it slow and steady. Small goals are the way forward.

MaidenMotherCrone · 23/10/2017 08:59

Morning Smile, I've just had my first weigh in ( should be tomorrow but I was curious) and I've lost 2lb. Not a huge amount but good enough given I've struggled to use up all the points everyday. I'm not hungry so that's good but I'm having to force myself to eat at times or I'll be way off pointswise.

2lb is good! If I can manage that for 16 weeks I'll look good in my wedding dress. If I don't I'm not sure I'll be able to do the dress justice. Positive thoughts lead to positive outcomes so positively is the way forward.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Maverick66 · 23/10/2017 19:39

Maiden we'll done!

Mrs40 · 24/10/2017 06:18

I'm another 2 pounds down today. Smile six pounds in 2 weeks . Hopefully get past the half stone mark next week !

Hope everyone else is having a good week.
