Gave birth to dd2 4.5 months ago and since then I have lost 2st2lbs of the 3st I put on in pg. I would like to be slimmer than I was when I conceived though, so ideally have about 22lbs left to go.
It would really help me to have a pal or two to chivvy me along.
Any takers?

and one more..
donnacb 2lbs (2lbs)

Sooooo...its getting harder now the first rush of weight loss has come off. Still they say that slow weight loss means it is more likely to stay off, so lets take comfort from that!

Top tip time...

Rice cakes taste awful! Don't eat them!

NO really...

eat 2 small portions of natural/greek yoghurt daily. (If too tart plain, mix a little fruit in.) good for your digestion and feels like a treat without being TOO naughty.

Will post another round up tomorrow, before I go on hols.

(BTW, anyone want to take on the job of rounding up next weds losses in my absence?TIA)

Noggermum · 23/06/2005 16:00

I'm a day late on the weigh in! Sorry girls, yesterday was mad. Well, failed miserably in my first week as I now weigh ...exactly the same as I did last week. ho hum. looks like I will definitely have to stop the chocolate, ice cream and pizza then....

lunachic · 23/06/2005 16:01

lol ng me too went to boots yesterday and forgot to weigh myself big

Surfermum · 23/06/2005 23:13

If I had used Furball's scales I would have lost 12lbs, but mine showed a big fat zero loss .

Donnach so , , you surfed the world. I didn't learn to surf until I was 35, then left my partner of 12 years and claimed I was going to surf the world (not because of surfing I hasten to add). I even started saving. I went as far as Woolacombe and Newquay, then I met dh and that was that really! I teach dd to surf on the ironing board and hope that one day she'll be a pro and I can chaperone her on the circuit.

donnacb · 25/06/2005 09:36

Hiya surfermum. we put our trip on the mortgage. only way we could do it. We also put our ds on ironing board in the hope one day he will be a pro surfer or formula driver ( we soin him round really fast so he likes the speed. Then he can keep me in a LUXURY that i could get used to. Well will let you know on wed what the surfs like. heading down today. oh i need the surf my mums here eaten 1 huge cream cake umpteen chocolates, nachos fajitas oh and a chinese last night and are now heading down to clotted cream country arghhh. If ya heading on holiday nice place to surf was tahiti nice beach breaks as well as reef. even went to teahupoo were the wave were a respectable 1 -2 feet much better than the 10 -20 it can get up to. also way too much reef there. Tahiti bl*dy expensive though for crp accomodation. Any way have habit of waffling so will pack. good luck over the weekend.

weesaidie · 26/06/2005 16:03

Hey guys!

So late again! Sorry, I had my weigh in on Friday and lost 2 and a half pounds!! Woo hoo!

charliecat · 29/06/2005 08:07

Im still here and was 11.4 on a different set of scales, the truth will be out tonight on the same ones though!

Lucymoo · 29/06/2005 12:06

Hello, ive gained 1lb!Bad but not as bad as i thought it was going to be.Hope everyone has a better weigh in day.

Furball · 29/06/2005 12:25

I'm still here.....

Forgot this morning, will try and remember tomorrow. Sorry miss!

Surfermum · 29/06/2005 12:30

4lbs for me this week . Got very demotivated after no loss last week, so I'm very pleased.

Donnach I actuall went IN the sea at the weekend!! Goggles on and a proper swim too and no wettie! I love the summer and going in the sea, beats a stinky swimming pool any day. We're getting an artificial reef built on the beach I go to, so we'll have all year round decent surf .

tiffini · 29/06/2005 13:11

Lost 2 lbs this week, I now weigh 12 stone exactly.

Finally my clothes are feeling looser.

Well done everyone, keep up the good work.

KBear · 29/06/2005 15:33

applemummy · 29/06/2005 16:38

well done surfermum 4lbs is fab and swimming in the sea too..how cold was it?

ScrewballMuppet · 29/06/2005 18:09

I'm 8st 10lb think have lost 3lbs!.
I think I was 8st 13lbs last time. I weighed myself at boots with moonboot on then got home and weighed the moonboot so it's not an exact definate but a their abouts.

chicagomum · 29/06/2005 18:21

2lbs for me this week dd started school on monday (a summer camp 3 days a week ) so i've decided to hit the gym and pool with ds in tow in his pushchair looking at me like i'm a crazy woman trying to work all the high tech machines

hi5 · 29/06/2005 19:35

If I was 11st 3lbs last time, I still am, the only explanation I have this time is my extraordinary attraction to chocolate at this time of the month. Not good - but I did go up to Kendal last night to a sly and robbie concert and danced all night.

Surfermum · 29/06/2005 20:51

Rest assured Applemummy, I wouldn't have been in there if it had been cold. I'm a wuss these days.

lunachic · 30/06/2005 09:37

marjoriedawessassy · 04/07/2005 09:45

Hi girls,
Well, had a lovely hol but ate like a hog so dreading weds.
Well done to all you ladies esp surfermum who has now lost 12lb!!!
Two others lost their first half stone - applemummy and chicagomum - fab to you too.

As a few seem to have dropped out, I will start a new thread for us. This one is getting a bit long now.
See you on new thread!

hi5 · 04/07/2005 12:46

The other day I was so chuffed to see 11.1.6lbs on the scales, then I went to have my breakfast, returned, weighed myself again so I could be proud and BIG MISTAKE - scales now read 11.4, must stop eating bricks for breakfast.
