How you all doing? I have been good for 3 days now, quite proud. Was at friends today and she offered me a cake - I resisted

MrsDoylesMole · 04/01/2009 22:15

I have not been good at all yet...
Made an apple pie yesterday and had one slice with afternoon tea and one slice with coffee later in teh evening
Had cheese on toast for breakfast...
Am seeing a friend for lunch tomorrow so that will be a struggle too...

BUT, the dc are back at school on Wednesday so then I can eat how/what I want adn take teh dog on extra long walks on the days I am not working...
So I have not officially started yet...

(well that is my excuse and I am sticking to it )

oggsfroghastennantitis · 05/01/2009 19:10

Mmmm apple pie.

I had half a Cambridge diet bar for breakfast and the same for lunch.
I've just had a bowl of home made scotch broth.
Drinks have been water, black coffee and a mug of Marigold veg bouillon.

That's it now for food. I'll just have more fluids for the rest of the evening.

How's everyone else doing?

hippipotami · 05/01/2009 20:46

Wow oggs, you are doing great!!

cheekysealion · 05/01/2009 20:50

love the thread title

have recently lost 2 stone and have 2 more to go

today i ate

breakfast- cambridge shake

lunch- soup and pitta bread..

dinner- LM veg sausages and cabbage, carrots, sprouts and leeks (tend to have this every night as it fills me up and i love it!!)
how is everyone doing?

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 06/01/2009 07:18

Congrats onthe 2st loss cheekysealion, that's great. Did you do it on the Cambridge diet?

I did it last year and lost 2st but I came off it before I'd lost the other 1st I needed to lose and put 3st on again so now need to lose 4st .
I've still got some shakes left so thought I'd eke them out by having one a day with a soup/evening meal and see how I get on.
I'm cutting out wheat, potatoes, sugar and cow dairy products.

Drinking black cofee now.

cheekysealion · 06/01/2009 19:37

i havent done cambridge properly for years now!!!

but buy the shakes to have at odd times normally breakfast...

today i have had the same as yesterday

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 06/01/2009 20:16

Cambridge shake
3 slices lunch tongue
Very big bowl of Scotch Broth
Handful of grapes

cheekysealion · 06/01/2009 20:18

OGGS- you dont seem to be eating much

are you like me in that you have to be really strict to stay on the straight and narrow?

i cant just have one biscuit so there is no point as once i start i dont stop which is why i am where i am i guess

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 06/01/2009 21:39

I do seem to be an all or nothing person yes.

I am at my absolute heaviest and am desperate to get off to a good start. I do have a bad relationship with food.

I too cannot have just one biscuit/bag of crisps/cake/sweet/alcoholic drink. I find it easier to do without than just have one.

I've tried various diets in the last couple of years and need to get my head around what I'm doing this time as I get them mixed up.

When I cut out processed carbs my appetite dwindles and I do not need to eat a lot at all. Rather than going the Atkins type way I am allowing myself fruit and all veg apart from potatoes this time in the knowledge that it will be a more enjoyable way of eating and that I won't feel so deprived and so hopefully stick with it.

cheekysealion · 07/01/2009 20:06

hi all - where is everyone???

i am not having potatoe or any root veg either, and no proper bread (i love crusty cheese rolls!!)

today i have had

breakfast- shake

lunch- plum tomato soup and pitta bread

dinner- 3 vege sausages leeks, cabbage, carrots and sprouts

i know it is boring but it works for me atm!!

how has your day been?

OggsdogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 22:51

Grapefruit for breakfast
Scotch broth for lunch
Salmon fillet with green beans and cauli for tea
Snacks - grapes and a mandarin
About 3.5 litres of water and 2 coffees made with goats milk and splenda.

Need to go to bed but am wide awake and craving a whisky.

This looks like a lovely funny weight loss thread - please can I join? I'm quite fat, and have no self discipline, so I'll make you all feel better as I constantly fall off the wagon

I am wrestling with the scarsdale diet atm and I am about to eat my arm I am so hungry.

OggsdogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 23:06

Hello Moodlum . Good to have another wagoneer along.

Yeah, yeah... sure you were

hippipotami · 08/01/2009 08:03

hello moodlum, I too am so not motivated and have to struggle...
Took the dog on a lovely long (well, 45mins) brisk walk in the woods yesterday only to undo all the good by diving into the biscuit barrel and eating two small kitkats and 4 digestives

A more radical approach is needed (looks at split open skinny suit and frets)

moodlumhohohoodlum · 08/01/2009 16:00

I am so hungry..

The scarsdale diet is only 1200 cals a day, and I didn't fancy the lunch (boiled eggs and cottage cheese bleugh) so skipped it, and now about to just plough into the biscuit tin.

Anyway - I have lost 2.5 pounds. Only another 23lb to go then.
