hiya - going to a club is virtually impossible as i live in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere, dont drive and have the kids all day (dp doesnt get hime til at least 10pm) and i cant afford to do ww just now. Basically it's all down to me - and getting some motivation going!!!!

swiperfox · 23/03/2005 10:48

do you get everyone to mail in their weights and then post the results? sounds like the kick up the butt i need!!!

Oh Marj. I read your post with one of ds1's chocolate mini-eggs in my mouth and almost choked myself with laughter!

Other than the mini-egg lapse I've been pretty good today. I even made the most of the sunshine and walked into town and back today. I think I walked almost 5 miles altogether.

Even better, I managed to squeeze myself into my latest set of 'target jeans' and actually zipped them up!!! I won't be wearing them just yet though - not if I want to be able to breathe normally anyway.

Welcome to MN Mamas, Swiperfox. We're always here to offer a boot when needed.

BethAndHerBrood · 23/03/2005 19:34

coppertop, I know what you mean about the jeans!! I can get in my "motivation jeans" and get them zipped up, but only if I lay on the bed!! But, it's still a great feeling, because when I got them a couple of weeks ago, they didn't even meet!! I keep telling myself it will all be worth it - it wil be, won't it??!!

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 23/03/2005 19:38

The soup was lovely Yorkie, thanks! I had salmon and prawns for supper. In fact the entire family did. It is one of the few meals that completely fills me up. Everyone eats it including the DTs.

roisin · 23/03/2005 19:44

I've been trying to be good again, and have been to the gym three times in the past week ...
Does that make up for the huge Chinese buffet I've just been to?

It was my special birthday treat (early for tomorrow), and the boys were impeccably behaved ... even ds2 who doesn't particularly like Chinese food. He tried lots of new things.
He didn't say "Yuck! That's disgusting!" even once

BethAndHerBrood · 23/03/2005 19:54

I'm stalking you, MTMML!!!

And scarily, I had salmon and prawns for my lunch!!!

Loobz · 23/03/2005 20:29

I am really pi**ed off. Have just been weighed, have been really good this week and have put on a pound.
Life sucks and I am away to look for a gas oven to stick my head in

coppertop · 24/03/2005 09:36

So sorry, Loobz. It's so unfair.

Beth - Yep that sounds like me and my jeans. I zipped them up while lying on the bed and was so excited about the fact that they fit that I practically flew down the stairs to show dh. All was well until I relised I had to actually get back up the stairs again. I felt like 2yr-old ds2 walking back up - 2 feet to each step and clinging on to the sides all the way.

I weighed myself this morning and this week I've lost 2lbs! Another miracle occurred when my mother actually noticed that I'd lost weight.

swiperfox · 24/03/2005 10:04

Hi guys really pleased to be joining you - I really needed to go public to get myself off me a**e and doing something!!! I've just weighed myself and I'm 13st2 - my target is around 10st7 in order to get back into the huge pile of pre-baby clothes hiding upstairs!!! I'm not doing any specific diet, just going to try and be good!! Also to do my Rosemary Connely vid every single day!!!

swiperfox · 24/03/2005 10:05

Probably should admit I've just had a jammie wagon wheel for breakfast. I promise to make it my last!!!!!
