A thread for all us GI diet followers (and anyone interested in it).

If you have any yum recipes or tips to share, please do .

If you have any questions about following a GI diet, there's bound to be a Mumsnetter who knows the answer .

I'll be posting my progress on the thread weekly - if anyone else wants to - great!

Here are some useful links (some posted on other threads, but I thought I'd bring them together here):

I've lost 2 stone and 6 lbs since the end of January, and tbh I haven't tried that hard, I could have lost a lot more if I had been more vilgilant.

Now that the weather is getting warmer and I am wearing less layers, more people are noticing and commenting on my new shape. It is a huge motivation when friends say how fab I now look!

Without being a drama queen I cannot say how much the GI diet has changed my life.

START IT NOW!

emmamama...how much more do you want to loose...has the loss slowed down as you've got closer to target?

Puff yours is the best of all - you have done really well.

Robin3 -I need to lose another stone, ideally 1.5 stone. It is slowing down a bit but then I am not as fastidious as I was at the beginning. It's coming down about 1 - 2 lbs a week which I am v. happy about.

Now if I could only get as excited about the running! Come on PTMD and join me on my 'round the block' marathons!!!!

Hi all. I've had a dip! I love this diet but with Easter around the corner I'm beginning to sneak in chocolate. Tips to avoid or low gi recipes please to satisfy a sweet tooth! Also, does anyone also have dessert after each meal? If yes, what do you recommend. I seem to have put on weight this week! Thanks x
