I am 4’8” and as of this morning I weight 59.6kg! It’s taken me two months to get to that and I am so happy with myself. Takes me forever to lose weight as I’m so short.

Not sure how exactly the drugs work other than they suppress the appetite, but I was under the impression that the actual weight loss was just like a crash diet.

They aren't a quick-fix in the same way as a crash diet isn't.
Slow and steady dieting with strength exercise is a better option, but WLI have a place if the excess weight is a medical issue.

No, your impression is wrong. Average weight loss is recommended at the normal 1-2lbs a week. Which anecdotally is the norm, you can see it all over threads in here and Reddit. You need to go on a deliberate calorie controlled diet to lose weight, the drugs just help you do that, as you’re not fighting hunger.

i lost an average 1.5 lbs a week. Ate healthy throughout and worked out. Many are like me.
in addition the drugs do many other things, like control blood sugar, manage insulin etc, and also now proven reduced cancers. Cure of cardio vascular, kidney and liver disease, reduced inflammation, giving an anti ageing effect in organs, as it allows cells to regenerate, and possibly dementia reduction,

sure some people abuse it. Go on too high a dose. But most do it responsibly. The drugs don’t make you lose weight faster. They enable you to lose weight consistently over a long period.

thereare4lights · 23/05/2026 14:49

11 st 12 and 5ft 4 age 52. I've been heavier - over 13st at my worst. But was under 10st 6 years ago. Rejoined Weight Watchers 3 weeks ago. 3.5lbs down and aiming for 11st.

daffodilandtulip · 23/05/2026 14:58

I’ve gone from 13st 7 to 7st 5. I’m 5 foot. I still feel huge in my head 🙈

That is what I said. Slow and steady. It is your interpretation of what I said that is wrong,

I did a VLC diet. It worked but it's not the right way to do it. Which is pretty much what I said.

The right way to lose weight is to change how you eat permanently and to move more.

I was referring to WLI for weight loss not medical conditions.

Squirrelchops1 · 23/05/2026 15:02

5'6" and 77kg. Just around 12 stone.I think I look great and definitely not 'huge' being only half a stone less than OP!

Ive lost 31/2 stone with WLI and doing weights. Dropped to a size 12/14.

That sort of gaslighting onky works when folks can’t read your comments. 😂😂😂

uou said this, “Not sure how exactly the drugs work other than they suppress the appetite, but I was under the impression that the actual weight loss was just like a crash diet”

It's not gaslighting in any shape or form.
You aren't funny.

ShorterMumma · 23/05/2026 16:19

160cm.
63kg
Feeling pleased with myself as I just couldn't lose weight for months and got stuck at 65kg.

Specialneedsnightmare · 23/05/2026 16:25

5 ft 1 and 62kg.

Zempy · 23/05/2026 16:42

I’m sixty. Five ft four and weigh exactly eight stone.

Tabarnak · 23/05/2026 17:17

Not sure whether I am 167 or 169 Cms.
I weigh 70.7 Kgs and am on a bit of a re-set because my ideal weight (where I feel most like me) is about 65 Kg.

OP - I was 83Kgs 6 years ago, felt it was heavier than I should be and lost weight slow and steady. At one stage I was 63Kg after a very stressful period, but that felt too thin.

I am on my 60s, with a medium broad shouldered big boned 'athletic' frame - not willowy or slender.

mamaduckbone · 23/05/2026 17:20

6’6” and 70kg. I’d like to lose a couple of kg as I’m a bit over where I feel comfortable, but also had cake for breakfast today and 2 beers in the garden, so obviously don’t want to that badly.

6'6" and 70Kg is in the underweight BMI category - and 68Kg quite a bit.

So I think you are safe with your breakfast choices now and then .

MxCactus · 23/05/2026 17:43

5ft 3" and 10stone 2lb. A few months ago I was 12 stone after delivering a baby. Usually I'm around 9 stone when not postpartum. Not sure if I'll ever actually lose this final stone though... Seems pretty stubborn

GonetoGreece1982 · 23/05/2026 18:34

I’m 5ft 7, started Mounjaro In January. I was 187lb and I’m currently 152lb. My goal was 135lb but we’ll see.. Strength training on top of the Mounjaro has already got me to a size 10 with a 31 inch waist. I’ve got 10 weeks of Mounjaro left and it gets me where it gets me, I already feel very happy/healthy where I am so I’m not pressuring myself. When I started I was a tight size 14 with a 39inch waist.
