@Thewhisperingwindsofwinter SW does work really well for some people especially if like you, they enjoy cooking from scratch. I think a lot of this is about finding what works for you and sticking to it. But weight aside cooking from scratch is always a good idea health wise.
A close friend of mine lost 4 stone from SW and is nearly at target weight. She goes to their meetings now, but we both signed up for a 3 months online SW subscription during the pandemic. I probably didn’t really follow it the way she did but it helped me lose a few pounds and I learnt some recipes!
She does seem to gain and lose several pounds in quite a short space of time though, I don’t know if that’s a SW thing or just her body type. I lose and gain weight fairly slowly.
I’m 10st 4.1 so yeah I’m firmly in 10st 4 camp now! 🥳 It seems that two high volume low calories meals a day and plenty of water and tea is the way to go for me. I’m fortunate that I don’t really have to cut anything out like bread or pasta or white rice, I’ve just reduced my portions.
My waist is 29 inches so I’ve lost around 1.5 inches since December. I don’t have a clear goal for my waist now that I’m within the healthy range for my height, but I’d like to get to 26-28 inches. I was 38.5 inches in 2022 so I’m super pleased at the progress I’ve made overall.
I have a writing project to finish this weekend so that’ll keep me busy instead of nipping out to buy cookies although this icy slushy weather really doesn’t encourage me to leave my house anyway!
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
