gosh sorry to hear all that buda.

I lost this thread, but am pleased to say I lost one lb last week, despite the chips!!

hopw everyone is ok??

can we change the weighing in to fridays???

Niecie · 18/04/2008 13:51

Well done on your lb piratecat!

I would prefer a Friday weigh in too, partly because I have traditionally weighed myself on a Saturday morning anyway so it is what I have been used to. Also Friday mornings in our house are a little bit more relaxed than Monday mornings so I have the time.

That said I had a sneeky peek at the scales today and seem to have put on 4lbs in 4 days.

I can only think it is some sort of fluid retention thing going on - even I can't have eaten 14,000 extra calories in 4lbs which is what you need to put on 4lbs in fat!

Never mind. I am taking a week off as I have my final extended essay to do this week and it could go either way, blind panic might mean a loss of appetite or it might mean comfort eating. Either way, I don't worrying about food and particularly exercise will be on the agenda.

But this time next week I shall be free! Whoopie!!!

sagacious · 18/04/2008 13:54

Hi all
Buda sorry you're having such a bloody awful time of it

I will be back on track on Monday I'll weigh in them I am expecting Bad Things

keepcalmandcarryon · 21/04/2008 09:59

hi all - anyone weighing in this morning,or are we changing to Fridays? Might do both, myself.

Well I'm 10st 8lb this morning, 1.5lb off in two weeks - or to put another way, exactly the same as I was at the end of March. Heigh ho.

Kids are back at school - its 10am and I'm still turning cartwheels (does make it a bit difficult to type ) [lousy mum desperate for 5 mins peace and quiet emoticon]

Oh, the quiet. Birdsong from outside. The hum of the hard-drive. Soup for self and DH's lunch with a bucketload of chilli in it, with no DC's to turn their noses up. Bliss.

sagacious · 21/04/2008 11:36

Morning ! Have weighed myself :

12 stone so back to the start for me (could have been worse I suppose)

Good news is I've been out for an hours walk and my RL friend mentioned she'd started Weightwatchers so I'm going to join on Friday (will change my weigh in day to that as well if thats ok)

keep calm (am off to pick up dd from pre school she starts full time school with her big brother in January 09 am crossing off the days

beansprout · 22/04/2008 19:54

Hi, have an illness assisted loss this week so basically a false reading, as will put it back on now I am a bit better. Will have to see how I am next week.

piratecat · 22/04/2008 20:00

last week's pound is back, but I knew that would happen, as have had family to stay, which has involved wheat eating, meals out, and more foody occasions than normal.

aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

piratecat · 22/04/2008 20:01

keepcalmandcarryon · 22/04/2008 22:28

Ok - new roll call for Fridays of

sagacious,
piratecat

neicie sorry, wine induced dyslexia, but Google failed me here...

and beansprout (delighted to hear that you are loud and bright, but with a woody depth, btw)

Would be delighted to have a Friday weigh in. Hope we can keep the thread going - my motivation has disappeared, really need someone to shout at me/know I'm still trying!

Niecie · 23/04/2008 00:43

Oh Fridays - excellent.....but not this week.

Am still writing my blessed essay and eating my way through a large bag of wine gums and a lot of chocolate. Darn't (sp?) go near the scales this week but wanted to see how the rest of you are getting on. Congratulations to those who lost, and commiserations to those who haven't.

So are we officially relauching ourselves? Rebranded, repackaged and remotivated or are we still talking about it? (Sorry, having trouble stringing together coherent sentences whilst high on wine gums and lack of sleep so not sure if the previous posts mean we are definitely moving to Friday or not).

I should at least get some exercise next week as the house a complete tip (anybody remember Mr Trebus from The Life of Grime a few years ago - he is my role model). I shall have to do lots of cleaning next week as the in-laws are coming for the bank hols - that should burn a few calories.

piratecat · 23/04/2008 07:45

Looks like friday is the new monday to me!

I am not giving up, we were doing well, I have lapsed, but I am going to try harder. Esp those social situations.

Thats def been my downfall, as I am single mum and normally have more time to think about what I going to eat, but having visitors is difficult.

Good luck with your studies neicie, yes i remember Mr trebus!!!

Keepcalm, those pics are very good!!!

sagacious · 23/04/2008 07:51

Keepcalm are you calling me a dog ?

Well welcome back to the all sparkly muffin top gang !

I'm joining WW on Friday so will not fail !

(Piratecat I'm the same: fine until someone waves a bottle in front of me then all resolve crumbles)

I am starting properly on Friday so yesterday doesn't count

keepcalmandcarryon · 25/04/2008 10:33

calling all muffin tops!

calling all muffin tops!

are you out there somewhere? have you weighed in? I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours...

Niecie · 25/04/2008 14:00

Not weighing in today.

Had a very very bad week, essay writing and eating junk. No time to cook, plenty of time for chocolate.

I have now collapsed in a heap as I finished about an hour ago. I feel like I have finished an exam, which in a way I have, as the essay was instead of an exam and was just as much of a nightmare.

Anyway, all sensible eating and exercise were out of the window and I don't want to go near the scales.

I will be back next week, with free time and and skip in my step. Hooray.

Time to get serious!

bellabelly · 26/04/2008 13:53

Hi all, I lost this thread for a while but am here now. Weighed in this morning and have lost nothing but haven't put any on (had a bit of a piggy week so that's a relief). The sunshine outside is making me think about summer clothes so I agree, it is time to GET SERIOUS (yikes!).

keepcalmandcarryon · 26/04/2008 20:48

well, did weigh in yesterday morning, have lost 1lb since monday.

if only I was doing some exercise it might be more.

Quite right Bella, how about those shorts stashed in the bottom of my chest of drawers. Oh blast it. Why can't I hide inside long skirts and boots all year round?

bellabelly · 27/04/2008 00:40

keepcalm - one lb per week means in 14 weeks you'll have lost a stone which means it'll only be July - a few short weeks into official summer . Slowly slowly catchee monkey or something...

beansprout · 27/04/2008 07:55

Love the pics Keepcalm!! Woody depth, that's me!!

Didn't weigh myself on Friday (doh!). Will do so in the morning and then go onto Fridays after that.

OP posts:
beansprout · 28/04/2008 08:35

Woo-hoo!! I was ill last week so knew that would be a false reading but weighed myself this morning and have lost 3lbs since my last proper weigh in two weeks ago.

OP posts:
bellabelly · 28/04/2008 12:05

woohoo beansprout! I have been cycling this morning so was feeling virtuous but then spoiled it slightly by eating half a croissant and half a pain chocolat... But am determined to lose minimum of half a pound by Friday!

Never mind MMJ - you might not have put it all back on, you never know.

Congratulations to beansprout and bellabelly for the loss this week.

The warm weather at the end of last week scared me. I don't want to reveal this wobbly great body to the world. I'M NOT READY YET!

At the risk of putting people off their lunch, I don't like the way my thighs rub together in the hot weather with no tights and trousers on. It isn't nice.

I never used to be like that, you know and I want it to stop now!

Sadly, I feel it is an image I will have to conjure up again and again as I make advances to the cake tin.

On the plus side, I have started the week with some energetic hoovering and general tidying and I have LOTS more to do.
