@thenewaveragebear1983 how are you feeling today? I hope your works do went well, I know you weren't particularly looking forward to it.
As planned I did my little trip to M&S, Boots and Home Bargains yesterday. I do this every year on my own and I usually really enjoy it. This years I bustled through it at breakneck speed and was soon back home.
I've been eating constantly, and the wrong things too. I spent over £60 in Home Bargains on chocolate favourites until I got home and realised that a big part of it was bought for me. Add this to the M&S chocolate and biscuits and I have a huge stash to keep me off track for a few months.
But, in M&S I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror. This wasn't fair because I was not in a changing room and was actually holding up a jumper to buy for DP and there, right in front of me, was a full length mirror. It was a shock to say the least. You know how really big people tend to have rolls of clothes around their middle and they constantly readjust them. In the mirror I was that person, rolls of crumpled layers making me look like a Michelin man.
Safe to say I'm very much on track with my diet now. I weighed this morning (not weigh day) and I've gained 2 lbs in no time at all. I thought I felt more uncomfortable and looked bigger. I'm very nearly at my all time high and it's nearly Christmas🙈.
I went through all the chocolate this morning and placed it into separate piles for different people. The chocolate I had bought for me I checked the sell by date and wrote it on the front with a black sharpie. Most of the dates were October 2025 so I guess I have enough stashed for the whole year given that I'm not eating very much in future.
Because I need something in my life I've decided that Sunday is treat day and I can have chocolate so long as I haven't had any all week. I'll see how that goes and I have to move more, much more.
In other news Molly was back to the vets today for her stitches out. I was really surprised at how many stitches she had to have, but the vet was pleased and Molly was discharged. We have to go back in February for a check up and a second ultrasound in May is planned to see if the heart has deteriorated (that's another £1,000 😬 but she's worth every penny).
I've got a chicken in the air fryer, veg cut and ready to cook so a healthy meal tonight.
Christmas is officially sorted apart from the food. Presents are all bought (still awaiting one or two parcels) and the decorations will be going up in a week or so. Thank goodness it's nearly done and the mayhem will soon be over.
