hi all, feeling a bit despondent today. last night i fancied a packet of mini cheddars. i had had a couple glasses of wine so just thought well if i want them i will jolly well have them. had had no snacks all day apart from an apple. dh comes in and said 'youve lost the plot. this is so typical of you. youve given up. youre just going to go straight back to being a fat munter'. WTF??? FOR ONE, I WASNT DEF NOT A FAT 'MUNTER' oops caps lock sorry and two what a nasty horrid thing to say
so cross with him still this moring. he has apologised but i know he meant it. the bastard.

fatkatyslim · 27/04/2008 09:39

bel how dare your dh say that to you.you're stunning and have done fantasticly well.tell him to fuck off
why are men such wankers?they get really fat and slob around the house but slag us off!
sorry.got a bit angry then

belcantavinissima · 27/04/2008 15:10

on the plus side, he bought me a bike yesterday . am utterly useless at riding it tho so am going to take it down the playing fields tomorrow morning and practice safe in the knowledge that sneering and pointing/laughing kids will be at school lol!

LoveMyGirls · 27/04/2008 16:18

Katy I think you know the answer really dont you?

Bel your dinner sounds gorgeous!

I've been really good today deffo back on the wagon! I've even been on the trampoline only for 5 mins but better than nothing, had to come in because of the rain!

My sister is here now and we're going to play on wii fit!

Jahan · 27/04/2008 18:42

Katy - I think you've done really well giving him another chance but theres only so much you can do. He's got to do his bit too. Does he want to make a go of it??
I'm sure you'll make the right decision. Good luck.
Bel - What a horrible thing to say. I'm not surprised you're angry. I'm glad he's realised and apologised. He probably just doesn't want you to undo your good work, and like most men, doesn't know how to express himself and just came across very badly.Have fun with your bike! I used to cycle all the time but am too scared now. London is too scary for cyclists!

I have my weigh in tomorrow morning. I think I've done ok this week. Not brilliant but ok. I'm hoping I'll have lost a lb at least.

fatkatyslim · 27/04/2008 21:57

good luck for your weigh in jahan

b 1 piece toast with elf cheese
l fish in parsley sauce with broccoli(shared with dd) and a ww yoghurt

I need to be mega good the next two days. I have just totted up the calories from saturday.... its at least 2500 that is going to take some willpower to claw the extra back over the next two days. I am so annoyed, I was intending to be good as I didn't want to spoil last weeks loss but my willpower disappears when friends and alcohol enter the equation I am expecting a sofa day today as ds1 is not well, he threw up in the car on the way home from the sil's last night after being 'off' all day and he woke up this morning at 5am saying his tummy hurt... he is still asleep atm after some medised so will have to see how he is

Hope you have a nice walk katy

fatkatyslim · 28/04/2008 07:32

thanks lisa.
your poor ds.it sounds like what my ds2 has had all weekend.he started late on friday night and finallt started feeling better yesterday afternoon.
i found ice lollies really helpful.has he had a temperature as well?

don't worry about those extra calories.you only are enough for maintenance and you'll easily lose this week with all the excercise you do

OP posts:
fatkatyslim · 28/04/2008 07:33

had enough

OP posts:
LisaLessLumpy · 28/04/2008 07:51

Yes he has had a temperature aswell

Maintenance calories for anyone else usually means a gain for me we'll see, even if I only lose half a pound its still a result didn't manage XT yesterday because of ds1, will try and do a decent session tonight and tomorrow night

fatkatyslim · 28/04/2008 08:04

i'm with catch up excercise as well.i haven't been out off the house since friday
hope he feels better soon x

pollywobbledoodle · 28/04/2008 10:49

hello all
back from my jolly hollys....cream teas, fish and chips meals.....you know the score. not weighing self til friday when friend comes as will be fed up!! Enjoyed hols and didn't go too mad between meals

Bel...I think men sometimes get frightened if their women change....if you look better then he has to do something about himself in case you up and off.....i think they try to undermine our efforts by making us angry and having to fight a "f**k it, i'll eat biscuits" mood

I on the other hand have undermined my efforts all by myself

You ok Katy?

Jahan · 28/04/2008 11:07

Lisa - sorry to hear about your ds. hope he gets better soon. diet wise, try to stick to low cal soups. I just made one yesterday from a ww leaflet which has onion, garlic, carrots, cabbage, courgette, toato puree and stock. Its not a blended one, just finely chopped. Its quite tasty and more of a 'spring' soup rateher than a wintery one.

katy - glad ds2 is better and good luck with the scan. why is she having it? Sorry if I missed anything. Well done on your flat belly!

Polly - sounds like you had a lovely time. Eating yummy food is part of a holiday, I think. Hope you get back on track ok. Sometimes its hard to go back on a diet if you've had a break. It takes extra willpower!

This morning, I went for a long walk and then to my weigh in. I lost 3.5lbs! I'm very chuffed. I have to admit that 2.5 of those lbs was weight I had gained during my 'mad binge' week a couple of weeks ago. At least I've got rid of them now!

belcantavinissima · 28/04/2008 11:22

wow jahan thats brilliant well done. am a bit tho i must admit because i just KNOW i have put on again this week.arrrghhh.
just returned from first bike ride in 20 years! i was absolutely terrified. and i was truly awful at it. just started getting into the swing of it when an almighty hailstorm started from out of nowhere so could nt even see where i was going so had to push the damn thing the rest of the way home
so today have done gym and bike riding/wobbling/nearly falling off

b-granola and skimmed milk, half dd's crumpet with ww jam
l-nothing probably
d-jacket potatoes poss or maybe fishcakes
s- already had a pack of kellogs special k mini breaks

have a good day

fatkatyslim · 28/04/2008 12:02

polly..mwahh missed you xx
do you feel better?

well done jahan! that is fantasic

dd has been having alot of water infections so they wanted to check they hadn't damaged her kidneys but the scan was clear .hopefully they will take her off the antibiotics at her next appointment.

bel you have made me pmsl sorry but i can't get you trying to ride a bike in a hailstorm lol

i'm ok by the way polly.dh couldn't go anywhere while i talked to him in the carwe shall see what that brings.

it's bouncing down here so my walk can wait until later.i'm off to get some lunch, mushrooms and something.
see you in abit xx

pollywobbledoodle · 28/04/2008 12:52

Mwah to you too katy! my eyes are ok now , thank god ...walking is still to pot but hey ho! Hols were lovely....unlike the welsh one earlier, it was nice enough for cossies on the beach (if you are an urchin under 5 that is!) We went with some friends and their little girl....childcare shared is childcare halved! Actually probably less than halved, dd preferred being with them as she got more ice creams etc

sorry to hear about all the bugs ladies
...makes life miserable doesn't it?

good news on the weight loss front

have decided i must stop kidding myself...i have a weigh in on friday....and a competition buddy system going with a real life friend

so far today
1 slice toast and jam
2 slices of bread with grated carrot and sweetcorn. an apple

will be prawns with shells on in tomato and onion sauce tonight with rice

snacks will be fruit

belcantavinissima · 28/04/2008 16:30

euggh i might not go tonight to ww. feeling really sick and tummy achy

LoveMyGirls · 28/04/2008 16:47

Bel you don't have to stay for the meeting but just go for the weigh in, do you feel sick because you're nervous and think you have put weight on? Does your tummy hurt because you're hungry? Or are you coming down with a bug?

belcantavinissima · 28/04/2008 17:05

i dont know . not feeling so achy now but feeling a bit sick. didnt have any lunch as trying to not put on any more lbs before tonight. maybe youre right- maybe am just hungry

would be surprised if it was a bug- we're a hardy lot

LoveMyGirls · 28/04/2008 18:44

Did you go bel?

I always try to stick to a liquid lunch on weigh in days......yogurts, soup, low fat yogurt drinks, smoothies etc perhaps you could try that next time?

belcantavinissima · 28/04/2008 19:52

i did go but it was cancelled as no leader! so couldnt even weigh in. was secretly quite pleased altho have got to find another meeting for this week and next as its closed for bh monday as well. cant go 3 weeks without weighing in or i will be back to the size of a house!
have managed to find an alternative one and its a morning one so am going to give that a go. will mean dh wont have to rush back from work for it too and its just around the time when i finish att he gym so may be better. hopefully they might let me change

LisaLessLumpy · 28/04/2008 21:04

Evening all.

Just had a shock on my tanita scales, read the manual to refresh my memory on all its settings and it appears I have a metabolic rate of a 50 year old I really must stick to this exercise lark if I have any chance of losing all the weight I want and keeping it off.

Had a good day today in an attempt to rectify the weekend.
B - 1 crumpet, 1 w/m toast and spread
L - 1 bowl of Spicy bean soup (homemade) Medium Banana and small kiwi, 3 squares of maya gold - green and blacks choc
D - small portion of rice and beef stew (leftover from saturday, in ds1's bowl )

40mins on the cross trainer, did 3 miles and burnt off 415 calories

Hopefully another good day and another 40 mins on the XT will stand me in good stead for wednesday.

Bel - I hope they let you change sessions and it works out better for you

belcantavinissima · 28/04/2008 22:03

thanks lisa
what does it actually MEAN you have metabolic rate of a 50 yr old? can it possibly in any way be construed as a good thing???? i think my metabolism must be quite good atm becuase and sorry if far tmi, when i get up in the morning, i need to have a poo straight away . which apparently is a good thing!!!

feeling a bit shocked tonight as spoke to an old friend of mine earlier, she lives 60 miles away, but we have been friends since we were at antenatal classes together 10 yrs ago. we dont speak to or see each other very often but when we do its like theres been no gap iyswim. anyway i speak to her tonight and she says shes been a bit ill and i say in a jokey way' oh no not again' because they are always ill and we always used to catch any illnesses going off them! anyway turns out 5 weeks ago she found a lump above her breast, turned out to be bloody cancer and she is now recovering from a mastectomy [shock. she is only 42. she is now waiting for results of lymph node analsis and to find out whether she will need chemo. she is being amazingly upbeat but i think thats due to her being a very full-on christian. and i guess right now thats very lucky for her becuase i guess her faith will get her through it. feel like a right shitty friend, and also feel a bit sad that she didnt think she could tell me at the time .

oh well off to bed now, after some remegel, and a massively long hour and a half soak in the bath, my tummy no longer hurts yippee! will check in again tomorrow

nighty night
