Morning all

I have lost 1lb, am chuffed as I haven't been 'that' good this week, what with making cakes and a christening weekend I need to buck my ideas up though as I am only 1 pound lighter than I was on the 19th March which is crap. I am aiming to lose 3 pound this week to put me back on track, I was on the cross trainer at 6.40 this morning and did half an hour, I am aiming to do alternate mornings, the other mornings DH has started going running, so we can motivate each other. Once ds1 is back at nursery I hope to be able to slip in a Davina dvd once or twice a week too.

Yesterday
B - 50g porridge made with water and 2tsp of half spoon sugar.
L - Tin of minestrone Big Soup, 1 slice w/m toast and one slice of nimble with flora light.
D - Rump steak with leeks, new potatoes and carrots and a thyme and redcurrant sauce.
S - ww yoghurt, 3 slices of ham.

Today will be:-

B 2oz cornflakes with hot water and halfspoon
L homemade vegetable soup and two wholemeal toast and flora light.
D Thai style chicken with veg and 1oz rice.
S hot choc options, sm pot petis filous choc dessert.

I CAN DO IT, I CAN DO IT

LoveMyGirls · 16/04/2008 08:19

I'm 5.3 ish I can get into 12's but they're not comfy at all though my 14's i only brought a week and a half ago are getting on the baggy side (have lost nearly half a stone in the past 2 weeks though) so hopefully i'm getting there.

Only just over a week until I get my wii fit! (though i'm having my toes done so won't be able to play on it to start with!)

fatkatyslim · 16/04/2008 08:24

wahay,well done lisalessbumpy
you can do it!! and you are doing it!! you go girl
hope i lose a pound this week

keep trying the 12's lovemygirls.i made the mistake of wearing my bigger clothes as i thought the smaller ones wouldn't fit.when i came to try on my smaller clothes i had dieted out of them and they were too big

what are you having done to your toes????
eeeuurrrggh i don't do feet

must go and get the boys ready for school
see you later xx

The thing with sizes is that they vary so much. The skirt I can not get into says a 12 on the tag, and that was from Etam's 10 years ago, it is a straight skirt with no stretch. I have a size 12 from Next that is a long very floaty skirt with loads of material, and I can easily wear that now Generally I am wearing size 14's from Next but trousers are still a bit too snug to wear in public, but the 16's are starting to get too big

I am 11st 12 as of this morning, I was 13st 1 on Jan 1st when I started, which was after initially losing a stone after the birth. My pre-pregnancy weight was 11st 5, which is my first goal of half a stone from now. I will be happy if I can get down to 10 and a half as I haven't been that weight since 2000, any less would be a miracle for me. I would still be classed as overweight though as I am only 5ft 3.

The lightest I have been since being an adult is 9st 3 when I was 21 (13 years ago), I had lost two stone before a holiday to America and felt fantastic. I really can't imagine ever being that again, but katy you are an inspiration, I just need to be more focussed

LoveMyGirls · 16/04/2008 11:54

Have suffered with ingrowing toenails since i was pg with dd2 so I'm having a minor op to stop them doing that.

I'll try my jeans on in a bit when all the little ones are asleep and post back but I really doubt they will fit me yet!

Anyone else noticed the chance in metabolism with each birth? Before I had dd1 I could eat as much as i liked, what i liked and never gained weight (would eat up to 10 choc bars a day ) then i had dd1 and if i even looked at choc I put 2 lbs on! When i tried to lose weight it would mean 3 months of being extremly good before i would even show 1 lb loss! Now i've had dd2 my metabolism seems to have returned to normal and i'm shedding the pounds quite easily when i do try.

susiecutiebananas · 16/04/2008 12:38

Out thread seems to have quietened down a lot hasn't it. Is this because people are just eating cakes again? Or because we are terribly boring??

THink we need a few sunrise nork swinging sessions. I had one this morning.

THanks for all the motivation girls. I've have read, and taken it in.

I will finish off the rest of the sweets ad rubbish in the house, and not buy anymore. At all. And REALLY get back on that wagon.

Hope you are all ok today?

Breakfast: the usual.
Lunch: celery, carrots, wholmeal bread, slice of ham.
Tea: prob roast chicken breast, broccoli and other veg.

LoveMyGirls · 16/04/2008 12:42

All 3 are asleep, but the mess omg, food everywhere think I need to have my lunch before i can summon the energy to clean it all lol.

Have a mentioned how I'm really looking forward to saturday night? It's the family party and I want to look really good there will be people I haven't seen for years and years plus it's a chance to show dp I can look good sometimes! I'm going to make sure theres loads of photos so i can have a few decent pics of me for a change. I'm really going to make an effort with how I look, I'm having my hair, nails and eyebrows done in the afternoon, I'm going to shave my legs etc, I've got a new bra, I'm going to wear a body sculpting thing under it all and I will actually get round to putting some make up on! (have already fake tanned)

Not really sure how I'm going to fit it all in though, need to prepare food most of the morning and early afternoon plus need to get dd's ready too at least dp is great with ironing so he can be in charge of that, I'll get my sister to nip in on her way to the party to do dd2's hair or maybe even get her to do it when we get there otherwise she'll pull it out before anyone has seen her!

LoveMyGirls · 16/04/2008 12:43

Susie - put the sweets in the bin or give them away, do not finish them off it will only be a few more pounds you will have to shift......

susiecutiebananas · 16/04/2008 13:02

Its ok LMG, I've hardly got any here, honestly It won't make any difference.

YOur party sounds like a great motivation! And what a fab way to show off what you've lost. I know what you mean about showing your DP that you can look good. I also love to do that for mine... makes you feel so much better about yourself doesn't it?

We've got a wedding in May, and I'd hoped to have lost a lot by then. SInce being unwell for what seems like an age, i've just not been doing any kind of diet. I've not put anything on either, which is great. Not lost much either.
I'm dreading going shopping for an outfit for it. REALLY dreading it. I need one of those spanx things I think... must look into it. Wonder if John Lewis or Bentalls ( my other local dept store ) sell them. Would be much better to try one on, rather than order online...

Izzy asleep now, mum coming to pick her up. All I want to do is fall asleep on the bed. really want this virus to bugger off now!

LoveMyGirls · 16/04/2008 13:11

I've just finshed my tuna salad, I';m goignt o have some fruit and a cuppa!

I bit my tongue really hard yesterday (having a bourbon - serves me right) its really really painful, anyone know what I can do to soothe it? Ihad an ice lolly when I did it, I was crying in pain! Now its still swollen and ulcers are coming where the cut is I think the alcohol on saturday will help but I'd like to not be in pain by then!

LoveMyGirls · 16/04/2008 13:13

fatkatyslim · 16/04/2008 16:56

LisaLessLumpy · 16/04/2008 20:13
