Can anyone recommend a dumbbell strength workout video for beginners?

I’m 60 and a beginner.

Have decided I need to start lifting weights to improve strength. Or else Pilates?

Can anyone recommend a good video?

Functional strength will help build your ability to lift weights. Pilates is great for this .. if you pick up a weight and your core and back is not ready there is a higher risk of injury. There are many beginners courses available. Keel Pikates is my favourite on YouTube but others include Trifecta, Move With Nicole, Moving Mango... there's loads Having done Pilates 5 days out of 7 for over a year I then incorporated weights (building in their strength from light to heavier) and a resistance band , I then use them to increase the challenge in exercises.
My advice is don't pick up a weight until your body has the strength for it .

Jilliam michaels has a beginner shred, minimal cardio, I really liked it. Still found it hard but good.
