I am seriously overweight (need to loose about 6 stone). This is now affecting my knees, high blood pressure etc. I feel awful and have tried the usual diets- ww, slimming Word, calorie counting etc.
I just can’t seem to be motivated to stick to them.
I am not hugely interested in food and my diet is fairly restrictive in what I will eat.
i have been reading about this diet - which sounds fairly helpful especially if you are insulin resistant (which I am).
it is fairly expensive to join the 12 week programme (£119)- but I wonder if I need to do something drastic???
Feeling a little sad about what I feel is a hopeless situation.
Has anyone done the plan and have anything to say?

@Marina7 - I am still going (although have gone slightly off plan in the last week due to busy work and eating out).
I have purchased both the recipe books and am meal planning ahead of my shopping (a first for me). I probably have about 1000/1100 calories a day over 2 meals and I have lost my first stone. Will get straight back on it on Tuesday.
i do feel healthy with what I am eating. My top tip is to drink as much water as you can. Good luck!

Today hasn't been too bad, much easier than the last three! I've been drinking loads of water so hopefully that is helpful. 3 weeks, well done! How is it going for you?

I feel really good, my skin is much better, I'm sleeping longer etc but I've only lost 4lbs which I won't lie, I'm gutted about! 🤣 Hoping it'll kick in soon?! Fingers crossed!!

I've got awful skin so I'm really jealous! I hope mine clears up.

I think it must be a big shock to the system, hopefully you'll have that 'whoosh' moment soon.

Thought I'd check in and see how everyone is doing? I'm finding it harder to keep on track...those summer ice creams are calling me...but have lost 11lbs so far! 🤞🤞

Can I join you? I’ve just started this morning. Really inspired with your stories plus did this several years ago before the app etc. I’m starting on 800 a day, which seems quite low. I am going to do what others suggested and make evening meal for everyone, but fend for self at breakfast and lunch. I choose 3 meals but will experiment with two as well.

I have lost 20lb over the last 18 months and now have c25lb to go. I’ve been loosing /gaining the same 5lb since Christmas, so def time to try something new. I started exercising consistently 6 weeks ago and haven’t lost any weight, so think I need to rethink my food. I’ve done it so far without food plans or calorie counting, so interested to see how this feels.

Would love to help each other with accountability and encouragement. 💪🏽😀🙏🏽

Hi all, been popping back to this thread to see how everyone is doing. I'm starting tomorrow. I love the gym and exercise, I just can't get the food part under control. I haven't bought the book yet, do I need to?

Couple of questions
What eating window do most people do?
Does anyone have (or a link to) a menu plan, just so I can gage some ideas on what to make.

You have all inspired me to do this by the way, you are all awesome!
