How to get rid of tart taste of fat free Greek Yoghurt

without adding too many calories? Cinnamon doesn't work. Stevia taste like bitter hell as do all sugar free products.

I am doing Fast 800 Dr Moseley's Mediterranean way of eating, so I am going to add nuts. I know they say to use full fat products, but I don't want to as it's too moorish and calorific, so I would rather add other sources of fat to control the calories.

Also I was thinking of sprinkle a very small amount of butterscotch Angel Delight on top and putting it in my carb count. Hopefully that may help to take the tart taste away. But perhaps the tiny amount I plan to put in top won't make a difference.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Fat free fromage frais might be worth a try

Honey, peanut butter or a chopped up Naked bar.

I'm really trying to stay away from any added sugary tastes, as I think it may set off my hunger aggravates my PCOS metabolic syndrome etc.

The nuts buttery taste made it so delicious and the salt definitely took the tartness away. No need for Angel Delight sprinkled in an attempt to take the tartness away, so no extra calories ir carbs.

Fingers crossed my hunger will subside eating this way!

Fat free Greek yoghurt is vile. Eat the full fat version. You need fat.

LenaLamont · 08/01/2024 12:35

Full fat is healthier. Just portion it ahead of time.

You keep saying you want to avoid sugar and carbs, well I hate to tell you this @Former but fat free Greek yoghurt has MORE sugar and carbs than the equivalent full fat version.

Most fat free products do, including things like skimmed milk vs full fat milk.

I have full fat and add things like pure vanilla extract and protein powder. Cheaper/lower quality whey products proteins can cause IBS symptoms do try a whey protein isolate.

@FrangipaniBlue

It's got exactly the same amount that sugars, more protein and half the calories. So I can add different fats to it depending on what I want, but more sparingly; I can have more if I'm feeling hungry. I just think it's a more flexible way.

I'm glad to say that it really worked in keeping the hunger at bay and it will be my staple breakfast! I need quick, I need easy, I need no choice overwhelm!
