Next year I am going abroad in April and again in August and this time I don't want to be hiding from the camera. I want to make happy memories with my family and not be feeling horribly self conscious about myself so I have started this journey now in hopes I can reach my goal by then.

I started two weeks ago at 16 st 2lbs and today I am 15 st 5lbs.

I am hoping to reach around 12 stone by April and 10 stone (my goal weight) by August. I amdoing one meal a day and walking 5 nights a week, is this do-able in such a time frame?

Just to add, I did one meal a day years ago and lost just over 4 stone in 7 months and kept it off for almost 4 years.
I find it much easier to go without eating all day and focus on the fact I'll eat in the evening. Every diet where I've eaten 3 smaller meals and attempted portion control has failed and I find I'm reaching for the biscuit tin shortly after breakfast.

You've done so well @adistraction what an inspiration.

I’ve been doing weight watchers for 3 months now. It’s the longest I’ve stuck to it. I’d got to well over 15stone and was just miserable. I’ve managed to lose 2 stone in that three months. And it has felt really hard at times.

Thanks for the recommendation of the happy scales app. I’ve downloaded it and I’m playing with it now.

Just read the whole thread and found it very motivating! Well done OP. Before you did fast 800, what sort of things were you eating and roughly how many calories?

I was doing OMAD to begin with and was eating roughly 1200 calories per day.
I probably wouldn't have switched to the fast 800 if it wasn't for my holiday in August as it was still coming off at a decent rate, I'm just trying to speed things up a bit over the next few weeks.

That's amazing, well done!

I too was very miserable at my highest weight, I got to the point where I didn't even bother trying to look nice anymore because I felt no matter what I wore or what make up I put on I looked awful.

Happy scale is fab, I love how it breaks it down into small mini goals, it doesn't seem so overwhelming that way.

Hi all, I thought I would post a small update this morning as I have officially lost 60lbs.

I'm still doing the fast 800 though there have been a few small breaks (meals out for birthdays etc).
It's going well overall and I'm really pleased with myself for sticking to it.

I have just over 10 weeks to go until my holiday and another 1st 12.4lbs to lose.
I would love to be at goal weight by then but I know the smaller I get the harder it will be to lose.

Starting weight 16st 2.6lbs

Current weight 11st 12.4lbs

Well done! I’ve gone from 15st 12lb in Jan to 13st 13.5lb today, nearly at the 2 stone mark. I also want to aim for 10st. Your thread has inspired me! You're so close 😊

How die you do it? I’m currently on holiday and feeling awful. Clothes too tight, have no energy. Aches and pains. I really hate being this overweight. I can’t enjoy myself because every time I eat or drink something l know it is adding to the problem. Can’t exercise here either and I’m not sleeping well.
I don’t want my weight to ruin another holiday.

The fast 800 had been going really well for me for a while and I was finding it really easy once I found my routine but unfortunately I believe it's the reason my hair is now falling out by the handful and AF is a currently a week late.
My periods are like clockwork every month so I can only assume my vlcd is the cause of this.
I have taken a pregnancy test which is negative.

I am making a GP appointment tomorrow for a change of contraception so will bring this up while I'm there.

Starting weight - 16st 2.6

Current weight - 11st 8.2

I hope the doctor's appointment went ok. You may well be deficient in some vitamins, given that it would be difficult to get an adequate range of nutrition in just 800 calories a day.
Maybe a multivitamin or some supplements would help going forward.

You've done brilliantly, but 800 is so extreme though it's probably best not to keep it up long term anyway. Could you increase it to 1000 calories or something to maintain?

Hi all, back with a little update.
I ended up getting my period (albeit a week and a bit late) but my hair is still continuing to shed like crazy.
I brought this up with my GP who was pleased with my weight loss efforts but suggested increasing calories or calorie cycling.
I have gone with the latter, so 4-5 days a week I'm doing 800 calories and on the remaining days I'm eating around 1400 calories.
I don't expect to lose as fast now (especially since I don't have a huge amount left to lose) but that's ok as the last couple of weeks I've actually started to like my figure again so anything I lose from here is just a bonus.
I've started wearing fitted clothes again and feel great Smile.

Just over 4 weeks left until I go on holiday now and I know I'll never reach 10 stone by then but hoping to get at least another 7lbs off by then.

Also, thank you for all the lovely replies on my thread, it has really helped me hold myself accountable posting on here.
