Not sure if there's one of these around! But I'm going to weigh myself in the morning and have an amazing week and then weigh in every Saturday morning! Anyone fancy joining?
I've gained about a stone over the holidays but I'll know for sure in the morning 😬
I need something to work towards or else I get lost 🙈

Morning all! I am starting fresh today who is with me?
My food plan is as follows -

Yogurt and strawberries for breakfast with cup of tea
Fish and veg for dinner
Stir fry and noodles for tea
Wholemeal toast and butter for supper

Within 1200 calories today but my average aim is 1400!
Going to try and have a stir fry for tea every day this week just to get back in the habit of eating healthy as I fell so far off the wagon I lost sight of it!
This will be a good week ☺️

Rogue1001MNer · 22/10/2022 08:12

How went the healthy eating @peanutbutterontoast7?

I lost 1lb this week, so not terribly impressive

bella1426 · 22/10/2022 10:51

Hi everyone just found this thread, can I join please? Weight has really crept on this year, boozy holidays, yo-yoing on/off low carb (restrictive & binging activity) pneumonia and lots of carby food post illness...checked the scales and am up 20 lbs on this time last year 😞 but hey at least I know now. I'm 11st 5 and my happy weight is more like 9st 10
Am doing sensible calorie tracking - calculated 1540 from James smith online tracker with 105g protein. No food off limits but trying to incorporate plenty of fruit, veg, wholegrain carbs, pulses, protein, low fat dairy
Am also weight training with a semi PT class 3 times a week which is pretty hardcore so hoping to see some good results with the calorie tracking....Saturday morning weigh in will deter me from Friday drinks too!

peanutbutterontoast7 · 22/10/2022 14:35

So my week hasn't been the best but I have lost 2 pounds!
Half term next week so if I can maintain then I'll be chuffed because I do have a few things planned and want to enjoy the time with my boys!

@bella1426 absolutely, welcome! We can do it together ♥️

thenewaveragebear1983 · 24/10/2022 09:11

Good morning, can I join you please? I weighed in on Saturday at 158lbs (11.4) which is fairly standard for me recently but about a stone higher than I actually want to be. I did calorie count in September and didn’t drink alcohol, and got as low as 149lb, but have had a disgusting few weeks at work and clearly this is the result. I deserve every ounce.

anyway… I’ve now quit my job, have a few weeks off, and plan to shift both the pounds and also this wretched cold that I have had for the last 6 weeks. I never realised the impact that stress can have on your body until these last few weeks.

my plan this week is 1400 cals, track everything on nutracheck, run a few times and do a few classes, and try to get some evening yoga in as well for my stress. Water, vitamins, veg … the usual!

Rogue1001MNer · 29/10/2022 07:59

Welcome @bella1426 and @thenewaveragebear1983
I hope you're having a nice half term @peanutbutterontoast7

I've been off this week and away. I didn't stint at all. Drinking every night (and in the daytime too) and eating loads of bad but delicious things.

I've put on 4lb, and feel like I've dodged a bullet.

Back on the regime now.
See ya next week....

Good luck everyone

FaultybutFabulous · 29/10/2022 13:00

I'm still recovering from covid but ds is back at school next week and the walking will be relatively back to normal so I'm hoping some weight will fall off by next Saturday. I weighed a couple of days ago and was 66kg.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 29/10/2022 20:53

I think I lost around 2lbs this week but to be honest I didn’t deserve it, I have eaten absolutely awfully this week with it being half term. Next week (starting tomorrow) I am on it

TwentyForty · 29/10/2022 22:01

I'd love to join!

Today 8 stone 11.6lbs.

I was 8 stone 2lbs in January which is around my happy weight (I'm very short). Had a stressful year leading to drinking and eating too much.

Aiming for 8 stone 7lbs initially, weight loss will be slow but hoping it'll be consistent. I exercise a fair bit already so it'll be purely diet I focus on.

Today I've done well - 2 eggs, tuna and avocado salad for lunch & homemade chickpea curry for dinner with blueberries & greek yoghurt afterwards. Maybe around 1600 kcal but I have done a 7 mile run.

Hopefully by Christmas I'll have lost 4 lbs. I don't want to feel deprived, just healthy and energetic still, so might be a slower loss.

peanutbutterontoast7 · 30/10/2022 08:29

So I think I gained a pound this week which is totally fine, I accepted that!
It's my birthday on 3 weeks and then our Xmas party so I really would like to get 9 pounds off! I just really need to do this, I'm going to restart properly on Tuesday when normality resumes ☺️

BobbysGirly · 31/10/2022 03:29

Can I join you please? I’ve not had the best year, health wise, and since last Christmas I’ve put on nearly two stone!
I weighed yesterday - 11st 6 🥹 I’m hoping to get back to 10 stone.

Morning all!

Start weight: 126.6 lbs
Last week: 123.8 lbs
Today's weigh in: 122.8 lbs

Slow and steady...

Hoping to be:
120 lbs by 1st December
117 lbs by 1st January.

I sat at 115 lbs very happily before I piled this recent weight on so my main goal is getting back there! It's taken 6/7 months to gain the weight so I feel 3 months or so to lose it seems doable.

As I'm so short, every lb shows. At 115 lbs my BMI is 22 so very healthy. Wouldn't want to go lower than this.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 05/11/2022 07:53

Weighed in this morning… 158lb (so exactly the same as I was on 24th October!) - and I deserve to have not lost, and probably deserve to have gained really. I have eaten terribly again this week. i did plan my meals, and did stick to them, but I have gone over on calories every single day and eaten so much bread, sugar and general junk. And I feel rough for it as well.

so… I don’t like to dwell on these things to heavily, just move on. My plan this week is:

  1. more protein, fewer carbs
  2. no Halloween sweets or anything rubbish
  3. stick to my meals and not graze (eg random bowls of cereal mid afternoon or toast….)
  4. for goodness sake, eat some vegetables

I have a hypnosis recording that really helped me over the summer so I intend to listen to that daily as well.

exercise: run today, long run tomorrow, couple of classes and couple of walks

the only thing in my way really is me a night out on Wednesday, we are going to see Kevin bridges and are staying overnight, so will have midweek drinks and a meal out and breakfast the next day.

Rogue1001MNer · 05/11/2022 10:15

Morning all. I lost 3lb this week (but I had put 4 on when I was on holiday last week), so on the path , but it's slow.

Like some of you above, I find snacking is my downfall. Eating healthily - ✔ Exercise- ✔ Not drinking - ✔
Snacking screws me every time. Every single bloody day. 😖
My own fault, obvs

Good luck this week, everyone.

Enjoy Kevin bridges @thenewaveragebear1983

peanutbutterontoast7 · 05/11/2022 11:13

So I weighed I. This morning and I'm 10stone 11 3/4.
So basically I have lost this week but I'm back where I started.
I've had a horrible week this week with my youngest being unwell and not sleeping. Trying to not be hard on myself my I'm frustrated that I'm not kicking this!
Here's hoping for a good healthy week!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 05/11/2022 13:40

It’s so hard when the kids are unwell isn’t it? I think that combination of exhaustion plus trying to fight whatever it is off yourself as well… I also definitely notice that if I have one of those snacky days, it usually correlates with having poor quality sleep. I read somewhere that being tired increases insulin resistance (even after just one broken night) which is why we crave all the carbs and never feel satisfied when we’re tired.

peanutbutterontoast7 · 05/11/2022 17:47

100%!

Stress is SUCH a trigger for me because will an emotional eater. As soon as I feel stressed I binge eat. I know I can break the cycle as I've done it before but it's just hard to get back on track 🙈
I need to find a new coping mechanism!

TwentyForty · 12/11/2022 07:40

Week 0: 126.6 lbs
Week 1: 123.8 lbs
Week 2: 122.8 lbs
Today: 125 lbs - period weight! I've eaten very healthily every day so I know I haven't gained. Also been to the gym consistently 5 times a week.

Clothes are a teeny little bit looser! Really hoping next Sat I'll weight at around 122 lbs.

How is everyone else getting on?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 12/11/2022 08:05

I’ve had a very up and down week with some good meals, a few runs and workouts, but also a very calorific day/night out and lots of snacking. Battery has gone in my scales so I can’t check the damage!

Rogue1001MNer · 12/11/2022 08:09

Morning. You should have a good result next week @TwentyForty

I lost 1lb.
Not much, but at least it's down

TwentyForty · 12/11/2022 09:45

Well done a pound loss is brilliant! Do you have a goal in mind?

Yeah I hope next week is better. Must admit it's disappointing to be up, but telling myself it's hormones/water. Grr.

Rogue1001MNer · 12/11/2022 11:00

It will be.

2 1/2 - 3 stone to go... I'm climbing a mountain
Very, very slowly 💔 🐌

peanutbutterontoast7 · 12/11/2022 12:31

It's that time of the month this week so I'm not weighing in as it'll be nonsense and make me feel like rubbish!
Well done everyone ♥️

TwentyForty · 19/11/2022 06:44

Week 0: 126.6 lbs
Week 1: 123.8 lbs
Week 2: 122.8 lbs
Week 3: 125 lbs
Today: 123.6 lbs

Very disappointed I'm not around 122, I've had another healthy week with loads of exercise. And I swear my work trousers are looser and my sports bra isn't so tight. But scales don't lie 😞

Will have to look at reducing kcal more. Yikes.
