What’s your best weight loss tip?!

Bought myself some lovely trousers today… none of them fit/don’t make me look all lumpy and bumpy 😩
I had a baby 9 months ago and I think I’ve just been using that as an excuse to put on more and more weight! I’m constantly shattered and find myself skipping meals and then bingeing on crap. I need to stop and start making healthy choices and shift this weight, I’ve never been this heavy before and it’s starting to get me down.

So what are your best weight loss tips?! Any meal inspiration as I’m not very adventurous when it comes to cooking. Ideally I’d like to cut out meat as much as possible, even just having it for one or two evening meals a week… possibly not at all. I love all fruit and veg, I’ve just gotten so lazy!!

Get the MyNetDiary app. It sort of gamifies dieting and makes it much more bearable.

Walking an hour a day… not easy to find the time but if it’s 6am, then so be it. Calorie counting. Cut out alcohol completely for a while. Try to finish eating by 7pm. Avoid sweet treats as best you can…

Use MyNetDiary, weigh everything don't guess, and log it all. Have realistic goals - it was trying to take me below 900 calories because I wanted to lose 3 stone in 6 months. While it might have been possible, I started to see it wasn't a good idea so decided to double the timeframe.

I'd add that it seemed impossible at first but the more you lose, the more active you become and the easier it gets. You do get used to eating less and start feeling healthier and fitter. I ended up losing a stone and a half over 6 months. I've had a break from it for a month and have maintained the same weight eating normally with the occasional splurge. I will start again when we get back from our holiday.
