I have been drinking loads of lager and eating too much crap

I need to get back into being sensible

I follow the SW plan normally, but I have completely lost it since I went on holiday in Se[ptember, and subsequently have put on a stone since then

I do have quite a lot to lose, so who would like to either jpoin me, or kick me up my not inconsiderable backside?????

OK - yesterday was a bit rubbish as we had F&C on Brighton beach - lovely, but we wont do it again till the summer. And drank a fair bit last night. Today has started well, and will carry on. I'm doing the coffee after church this morning, so am taking in all the left over sweet stuff to serve, taking temptation out of the way. Its a difficult few days with New Year, then a funeral on the 2nd, but I feel I've made a start, mentally at least.

Shiraz - the wine is going to be the hard bit, isnt it - will keep coming on here for support in keeping on straight and narrow . I'm not going to get scales, but use various size trousers as a yard stick.

Going for gigantic roast dinner at the loacl pub today, but had 2 boiled eggs and a slice of wholemeal toast for breakfast, and I plan to have a greek salad (with prob too much feta) for supper, with a bit6 of bread, so I might be OK.

I need to stop drinking, which is un realistic untoil next week really isn;t it?

you can't be expected to think dietitiously if you feel poorly. have some chicken soup and a hot toddy and start again when you are feeling better

today was day one for me. had cold salmon fillet for breakfast; fig for a snack; turkey salad for lunch and just wonering what to have for tea that requires zero effort. chilli from the freezer probably. walked for 40 minutes. so quite pleased. just need to resist the glass vf bovze that has become a nightly habit over the hols

I have indulged far too much.
Yet thing with me is i only have to eat a little too much for about 2 days and i can put on loads.

hate it.

For instance, xmas eve I was a certain weight. Ate largish xmas dinner, few bevs, and a roll for tea.

Next day I have put on 3 lbs

very scary.

I have been eating alot of xmas pud and mince pies and clearing the cupborads since.

I have now weighed today after 2 days of fairly normal eating and i have put on 5lbs over xmas.

so i hope i can check in here, i have about a stone to lose to feel 'ok'. need to be much less than that but its too much to keep up.

am 11st 7 today.

my goal is 11st by the time my mum comes over from spain on the 16th.

that feels better, just writing it down.

You girls have inspired me. was feeling rubbish when I found out I was 12.6lbs yesterday.
can i join you all and do something about it?
the worst bit is that i don't really like chocs, but eat them anyway. How stupid is that?
went to the gym today and will try and go 3 times a week.
desperate for a drink tho, can't survive a friday night without a drink............

was feeling pleased with myself for walking for an hour pushing four and a half stone of baby and toddler, but have subsequently sabotaged myself with eating pizza in a nice cafe and having an amaretto when i cam home.

i am so all or nothing with this diet lark.

i am going to re-start in earnest tommorrow or sunday i think. please be at the ready to collectively boot my humungous arse.

i want to lose one an half stone in total and half a stone by 8th feb - dd's first birthday.

pirategirl · 05/01/2008 10:23

ok beyond a joke. yesterday I had little to eat, but this morning I am 2 lbs heavier than yesterday.

I feel bloated. I now weight heavier than at any point over xmas.

big bad, I thinkI need some serious tips, as youhave done amazingly well.

How are you doing it, how do you keep motivated. Iam the sort that sees a few pound come of after about 3 weeks of hard work wathcig what i eat. Its so disheartening, that I never get very far.

The only time I have lost weight is when having a hard time emotionally, and not eating. I mean thats not surprising is it.!

fedda · 05/01/2008 13:05

BIN is not possible, my kids will want them but they are more clever then me and they only have 1 or 2.

Shiraz · 06/01/2008 11:41

Well i have been bad! Dp had pizzas in the oven and wine on friday evening and then last night i had garlic bread with my dinner and wine again

I am back focused again this morning and have re-started my 'diet'

So at 06.30 this morning at work i had alpen, low fat yoghurt and raspberries

I have Ham, Boiled egg and Beetroot Salad with light salad cream for lunch

And i am making home-made meatablls with wholewheat spaghetti for Dinner.

Dp has a contract working nights for this evening and tomorrow - so i'll be able to resist any wine or naughties as he is a BAD influence...

I haven't weighed myself as my scales are broken (have to get some new ones this week), but i always say NEVER way yourself earlier than every 7 days for a clear idea on how you are doing. Your body can retain water which makes you seem heavier.

fedda · 06/01/2008 22:02

Pizza and garlic bread are in my opinion better then biscuits I was having. i had some walnut bread and a breadstick with my pasta meal for lunch so I'm not doing well. I had 2 apples for breakfast and roast chicken with roast pots, parsnips and steamed sprouts. Had a cup of tea with apricot jam and coffee late with 2 sugars so far but I'm going to have another coffee shortly. I take weak coffee. For snack I had dried cherries.
