Seen some hideous photos of me today, I'm 13.5 stone and have 3 stone to lose. I looked so awful.
Tomorrow I'm going to kick start my healthy living again really am certain my mind has caught up with my body.
What was the moment for you?

@Handsoffstrikesagain what hours do you fast? I'm going to try 16:8 and start at 16:30pm in the evening. Any tips for keeping hunger pangs at bay during fasting hours?!

Early on during the covid pandemic when it was becoming evident that being overweight increased the risk of becoming seriously ill. Then putting more thought into the other diseases I was putting myself at increased risk from and realising I was being needlessly reckless with my own life and my children’s future. It was a wake up call that I needed to take some responsibility and lose weight/exercise.

@insufficientfuns

I'm 38!
I know how you feel, I have a 16 month old and I'm yet to take him swimming because of my body. It's on my to do list when I reach 11 stone.
I'm a massive carb junkie, masses of pasta, bread and cakes, I had to stop and I know this diet well (keto) because I used it to lose weight for my wedding 3 years ago.

It's so hard the first week but once you settle in to it I find it really good.
No sugar cravings, no hunger, no need for snacking, no bloating, my skin is clearer and of course the weight loss is great.

I tried on a pair of jeans today that I bought a few months back and only wore once because they were too tight. They still had the hair band through the loop that I used to extend the waist.
The did up without it and I've been wearing them comfortably all day so im definitely losing inches.

I think getting started is the hardest bit. You're definitely not a pig! I think we just have piggy tendencies sometimes Grin

Have a look at the keto diet, it might be for you? I do a vegetarian version myself but if you eat meat it's even easier!

When my charming ex called me a 'fat c&nt'. I didn't lose it for him but I was so angry I was determined to shift it. Every training session I had the rest mist about what a bastard he was (and still is).

I lost 30kg and he didn't mention it ONCE.

My moment was after my two pregnancies left me 20 kilograms overweight . I had nearly always been at a healthy weight my whole life , but throughout my pregnancies I craved junk….and ate it . And breastfeeding made me so hungry I gained weight postpartum. I hated my second pregnancy because I felt so unhealthy. Towards the end of the pregnancy I vowed to lose it all and at two months postpartum I started my weight loss journey. My motivation was health . I didn’t care as much about how I looked , oddly. And I did it 😁 I lost it all and I now feel incredible.
