If money were no object how would you lose weight?

Guess I have this view in my mind that if I had millions in the bank I'd no longer be overweight. I'd have a PT and chef

How would you lose weight if you had the money?

Same - PT and chef. And cleaner/housekeeper/nanny/etc. Pre-children I devoted a lot of time to exercise and eating well. Now I’m an exhausted, frazzled mess most of the time and I hate it. A lot of paid staff to deal with the things that take up my time would solve it!

stevalnamechanger · 19/06/2021 23:16

Have a PT and still struggling to lose . Need the chef 🤣

Redcrayons · 19/06/2021 23:17

Same as you. PT and a chef.

I’d also have a housekeeper who would do the shopping so that I couldn’t sabotage myself by stuffing my face with kit kats on the way home.

JuneJustRains · 19/06/2021 23:19

I’d go and live in lake and mountain country and spend most of the day outside, then come in and eat everything in sight.

I mean, it worked when I was ten, right?

FindingMeno · 19/06/2021 23:22

I'd go to one of those posh retreats somewhere like Bali, and do a fast, and yoga, and get fancy treatments.
I'd then come back and train for a goal ( like a half marathon).

SquareTo · 19/06/2021 23:25

PT definitely and a home gym/swimming pool. I love cooking and wouldn’t want to stop cooking my own meals forever, but at least whilst I was reaching a maintenance weight, a chef would be very useful.

LBOCS2 · 19/06/2021 23:26

Chef, horses, swimming pool. And time, so much time. Basically, someone to put the right food in, exercise I like doing, and time to do it in.

Lockdownbear · 19/06/2021 23:29

I'd go to a health farm retreat type place, restrict my access to junk and plenty time to get myself into shape.

Liposuction - suck the lumpy old stuff out as quick as possible. Oh and a double chin lift, my dream

A chef would be pretty good too

Blowingagale · 19/06/2021 23:35

Home swimming pool, perfect depth and length. For the gym I just to go - I like having other people around me so home wouldn’t work. Same with food, generally eat healthily but too much. If money was no object I’d probably put on weight as I’d go out more to eat.

tiredanddangerous · 19/06/2021 23:41

Gym (in my house because I hate people), personal trainer, dietician and chef. And someone to cook the kids' chicken nuggets on a Friday so that I can't be tempted by the leftovers.

RubyGoat · 19/06/2021 23:42

Bigger/better kitchen including a dishwasher & various labour saving gadgets (for faster preparation & cleanup time). Home gym, horse & a pool. And, a cleaner so I have energy & time left to do all the health stuff.

aiwblam · 19/06/2021 23:45

I was going to say:

Personal chef to prepare healthy, home cooked meals and tasty but healthy snacks. Said chef will shop for me as well and feed all my inmates.

Personal trainer for exercise

And most importantly 2 personal assistants to deal with the mountains of problems that are thrown at me every day.

Personal driver to run the many errands I do for all of the family.

2 x Personal tutor to deal with kids’ homework every night.

I really feel as though I do about 5 jobs and regularly work until 2am to deal with everyone’s problems.

Money IS an object, but I’m in a reasonably good position at the moment, having had a good few months in my business, so I’m taking a month off work to focus on my health and fitness. At the moment I’m massively overweight, peri menopausal and haven’t done any exercise for several months, if not years. My job is very sedentary and I also do a lot of baking, so don’t stand a chance of losing weight surrounded by cakes and buttercream, so getting away from it for a few weeks feels like the way to make a dent in it!

If I had money then I think a retreat or health spa type thing on a regular basis would be good way to keep on top of it. I do feel like time is the biggest hurdle for me, so if I could afford to work less I do think that would help.

PickAChew · 19/06/2021 23:53

By eating sensibly. OK, it's harder to eat well on a very tight budget but it doesn't need a celeb budget.

This is my lottery dream. I have a PT already so I would keep him but hire him 5 times a week. I’d build a gym and look next to my newly acquired mansion and my morning would be a lovely lie in followed by a healthy breakfast, PT session and a swim. I’d have a physio on standby for regular massages and a yoga instructor for when I get stressed from managing my millions. I’d live off fillet steak and asparagus and look like a model.

couchparsnip · 20/06/2021 00:07

If money was really no object I would install a VR exercise system in my big mansion. I could do obstacle courses, run in beautiful places and play first person video games on a treadmill. Like a Wii Fit but much better graphics!
Plus a PT and chef.

CaptainCorelli · 20/06/2021 06:50

I’d give up work immediately so I’d be less depressed and not tied to a laptop 8-9 hours a day. I do more exercise on my days off without even thinking about it. I’d then have a few days each week where I’d go to a nice gym or do a long walk or bike ride somewhere scenic. Food would be more problematic as I’d probably eat away from home more.

MondayYogurt · 20/06/2021 07:05

I'd stay at a Vivamyr clinic, then top up with chef/PT.

sar302 · 20/06/2021 08:41

PT and chef. And someone to follow me around and smack the chocolate out of my hand....

Trevsadick · 20/06/2021 08:44

Either chef or food delivery service and more walking with the dogs.

I love the idea of never having to do the big food shop again

AutoGroup · 20/06/2021 08:48

I lost weight and maintained it by cutting out snacking and running. I honestly don't think more money would have helped.

Dozer · 20/06/2021 08:52

Yes, a family chef!

And if money really was no object I would stop paid work and do something voluntary and flexible, so would have loads more free time.

I already do quite a lot of exercise, but would love to do even more and there’re loads of things I’d like to try!
