2016 Target to lose 1ST - weight updates & confessions - who wants to join?

I want to lose a stone, a bit more would be fab but 1stone would still be amazing and still hard work.

I am going to write on here regularly and put how much I weigh, what crap I ate, what worked and what the struggles are.

Does anyone not have loads to lose but just roughly a stone for an upcoming event/ wedding/ baby weight/ post op etc, That needs to be supported but also told off if you eat to many crisps or chocolate?

If so, put your weight and why you want to lose a stone and let's get rid of the belly!!

Well done Milo, that's great! I've lost 2lbs so now 10st 9.4lbs so I'm pleased this morning Grin

Like you Seven it is the challenge of getting through the weekend without ruining my calories through alcohol!! Am planning on no alcohol tonight so that I can have a drink guilt free tomorrow.

2lbs. Slightly disappointed with it, but will aim to get another lb off by the end of the weekend. Planning to run/walk 10k tomorrow which should hopefully help!

Hello, I'm going to crash this thread too if that's ok? Grin

I'm on a different weightloss thread, but my goals fit a bit better here. I lost a stone over the summer and got down to about 9st9/10 but christmas sent me back over 10 by a lb or two, so my first goal is to get back to where I was, but I'd love to get down into the early 9s. I'm 5'5.

I've been back to the gym on Tues and Weds but it was a bit of a shock to the system and couldn't face it again yesterday (I was aching all over from a weight training session). So I'm trying to work myself up to going today, someone give me a kick?

Hi, mind if I join too? First day today after I braved the scales for the first time in months! I think I've got about 8 - 10 lbs to lose. I'm 5'5 and weigh 10st 4. Had a green smoothie for breakfast , done about 20 minutes swimming (in between playing with dd ) and I'm just having mushroom soup and a slice of Rye. I'm going to a dance class tonight too, feeling really motivated Grin

Oh well done on the losses everyone. It's keeping me away from the sweets in the press as I really want a loss to post next week.

Sorry I can't see who did the 5km but fair play to you that is a great achievement. 40minutes is not so slow at all you won't be long bringing down the time it takes you if you stick with it too. No exercise for me today but I did make some super seed bread and it's a halloumi salad for dinner from my new cookbook so I hope thats healthy

My new gym trousers have just arrived in the post, so I'm going to hit the treadmill afterwork, followed by some weights!

I'll join. I didn't want to seem insensitive by posting on the threads where people have a lot more to lose and saying I'm 9 stone something. I was 13 stone a few years ago and managed to get down to 8.5 stone a year ago. I'm 9 st 6 after Christmas and feel like rubbish. I would be happy at 9stone, 8.5 was a bit too thin - I was breastfeeding and it just kept falling off. I weighed myself on Monday morning and was 9 stone 6, I've been so good all week and weighed myself this morning and was 9 stone 5.75 Sad It's so hard to shift when you've less weight to lose.

I'm also 5ft 3.5. That .5 is very important Grin

Super healthy food today and walked 4 miles.

I have pizza and wine every Saturday night and refuse to give that up, it's my one real treat a week. Will make it up through exercise.

I have new gym trousers too. For the first time ever I've got myself some colourful ones instead of plain black, after coveting ones people at the gym have. They are purple and grey in a geometric pattern and I call them my snazzypants Grin

I think they're what got me to the gym today actually.

I got mine from a website called Start Fitness. They've got a great sale on, and delivery was pretty quick
Mine aren't very snazzy though. I thought the snazzypants would create some sort of optical illusion to make my arse look EVEN bigger

Early weigh in for me and 2.5lb off so my weight now begins with a 9 Grin I've told DH no wine this weekend for me but I might have a gin later as the kettle's just died and it took me ages to find one that I liked last time so I don't want to make do with the first thing I see in tesco.

Lots of healthy food being eaten, and some good reminders on this thread, the 3500calories in 1lb I have that before so if you have a stone to lost that's a lot of calories!!

Is hot water and lemon really a weight suppressant? Does that work?

What other weight suppressant have you all found work? I have heard mints can help.

I have lost a pound so far!! Was really good the last 2 days, and after 3 days of not budging I saw a 1lb loss today so was very happy. It always motivates me more so was super healthy today. Lots of fruit and soup for dinner. Smile

Feeling very virtuous this morning as a friend came over unexpectedly last night and I stuck to diet ginger beer and didn't touch the 5 bottles of Prosecco I have left over from NY and my birthday Grin

I've lost another lb! That is 3lbs this week and I'm feeling really motivated by this.
Yesterday's gym session was a stark wake up call. I did some sprint intervals on the treadmill, and the speed I used for the 'sprint' bit was the speed that I used to run a marathon at. I used to be able to keep at that pace for nearly 4 hours and now I can only manage it for a minute. Blush

I had a drink last night but it was vodka and soda rather than my beloved red wine. Not as good as you though newyear! Good work last night

Mrstumble, I've found hot water and lemon a great appetite suppressant this week. I'm doing 16:8 and have found 10:30am-12:30am quite hard but have been having my lemon water, and it's got me through to 12:30 or 1pm every day so far...

Well done sparechange! And NewYear for resisting the prosecco.

I weighed myself today and I've dipped under 10st :) My scales aren't the best so I can't say exactly but the needle definitely stayed under the 10, how ever much it wobbled about.

I'm finding it quite easy to avoid sugary snacks at the moment, even avoiding the ginger cake I made for the dc, but the challenge will come when I'm premenstrual in a week or so and want to eat all the biscuits in the house in one sitting.

Can I join please? I'm 5ft 4 and started on the 2nd January at 9st 6. Ideally would like to get to 8st 7 but happy at 8st 9 or 10. I was always very slim up until I hit 30 so extra weight really shows on my frame! Have lost 2.5 lbs so far and have been doing 30 day shred every day, which I'm hoping will make a difference to toning up. Got a wedding to go to at end of month so that's a good motivator!
