I want to lose a stone, a bit more would be fab but 1stone would still be amazing and still hard work.

I am going to write on here regularly and put how much I weigh, what crap I ate, what worked and what the struggles are.

Does anyone not have loads to lose but just roughly a stone for an upcoming event/ wedding/ baby weight/ post op etc, That needs to be supported but also told off if you eat to many crisps or chocolate?

If so, put your weight and why you want to lose a stone and let's get rid of the belly!!

Where has everyone gone?
I was very disappointed this morning to have somehow gained 1.5lbs over the weekend! I know I ate more than I have been and did drink Sat & Sun (though not loads). It has meant that today I have been lacking in motivation to get back on it which doesn't make sense as I should be determined to get rid of the increase asap!! Have managed a rather slow and intermittent run this eve so that is something at least!!

Mine has been crap haven't weighed I'm but know I haven't lost.
Breakfast today was raspberries and a natural yoghurt lunch was a chicken salad with cucumber courgette and carrot amazing how much better they taste julienne and did a 4 mile run. Dinner was a takeaway snack box not good at all followed by popcorn and a kitkat and didn't drink enough water. Tomorrow will be better.

Sorry to hear about the funeral spare.

Welcome vintage. I don't love oreos but I could and have eaten whole packs of choc chip cookies in one sitting and not felt sick :( I have no off switch

Well not a great week here, icy weather has meant no running until yesterday, a closed motorway led to an unplanned dinner at a Harvester (never going to be a low call restaurant!!!) plus lunch out with my sister and a bottle of red over the course of the week led to only a .5lb loss this morning :( We are away for the weekend so no doubt will find sticking to low cal difficult then too but at least we are away walking so that should burn up some cars.
Hope everyone else's week has been better than mine! !

Hi everyone, I hope I'm not too late to join! I'm 5'3 and weight 10 stone 11 and would love to get done to to 9 stone 4.. My biggest downfall is biscuit/cookies and tea, especially Oreos.. I can easily eat an entire packet in one sitting and not feel sick.. I had my son in October 2014 and lost my pregnancy weight by December. Since then my weight has slowly crept back up. I've had enough of being this weight and I feel this is a great tool to help me since I've tried doing it on my own clearly doesn't work. Today has not been a good day I had smoked salmon, avocado and mozzarella cheese whole meal wrap for breakfast with a cup of tea. Then an entire packet of Oreos and a packet of Thai sweet chilli crisp with tea for lunch and some frozen raspberries and peppermint tea as an afternoon snack. I would love to create a structure to my meals with a proper breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks if hungry and ditch my daily packet of Oreos.

spare sorry to hear about the funeral - I think cake is pretty much compulsory in those circumstances. Don't beat yourself up

Keep at it seven it's still early days - in the first few weeks you can fluctuate massively as some of the big losses can be due to water loss and one carb heavy meal can load it back in.

Do you have scales that measure %body fat. I'm finding it more motivating to see fat loss than weight loss.

SevenNationArmy · 18/01/2016 15:48

Had a not good weekend but the scales say I've put on 4lbs since Thursday! Surely not! I overindulged a bit but not that much! Not feeling motivated at all tbh Sad

I've had a terrible weekend...
All day Saturday, I was at a funeral with DH and his family, where the day was spent being offered tea and cake. I declined the first few rounds of cake being passed around before being told in a very disappointed tone by the aunt of the deceased that she had spent all the day before baking and please wouldn't I try some.
It was very good cake, but a bit too good. Feel very cross with myself after resisting all sugar and carbs for over 2 weeks, but I guess it was exceptional circumstances.

But between that, no time to exercise, and PMT, I'm now 1lb below my original starting weight.

Happy Monday everyone! Start of a new week so planning on picking it back up strictly again today. Weekend hasn't been a complete blow out but I haven't been logging on mfp as religiously as usual. Am going to weigh myself again in a bit to see if I have gained over the weekend (hopefully not!!) but either way it will provide more motivation for the week ahead Smile

I had a blowout today Confusedand it was going so well. Did a lovely long run yesterday about 7 miles.
I'm on the phone so I can.t see back the thread but I know someone posted a loss so well done to you.

How's everyone doing? I've found today the hardest so far (only been dieting since Tuesday though!) as I've been at home and I know where all the yummy snacks are. But I've not fallen off the wagon. Hubby still needs to get into the routine though - he put sugar in my coffee and has plied me with a glass of mulled wine. But since I resisted my desire to snack on biscuits etc I think it's ok.

Down 1lb this week. Not as much as I'd have hoped but have been a bit lax with logging everything on mfp.
In the right direction though so will re-focus my efforts.
Well done to everyone on their losses!

Ran another 5km yesterday and did a one day juice detox - was aiming for two but a last minute dinner invite nixed the evening and so I settled for 5 out of 6 meals across two days.

Very envious of those of you that are seeing weight drop off - well done Smile

My total lost in two weeks since NY is 3lb and 2% body fat loss. I really feel given effort it should be more Confused

I should squeeze in a run today and tomorrow and Monday are quiet days so I'm going to juice to try and really kick start everything.

On the plus side I do feel good. I think Grin

seven I'm also doing dry Jan and also feeling less bloated but the change in my skin is phenomenal - it's actually looking amazing even if I do say so myself

I thought I had posted on Weds eve but obviously not!!
2.2lbs off this week for me so very chuffed with that but I have been religiously logging everything on mfp, have run twice and swam once and I am not eating my exercise calories.
Planning in advance definitely helps for me.
Well done seven, milo, two, spare and any other losers I may have missed Grin

Well done milo and twobambino!

I've had a generally good week and have lost 2lb so down to 9st6 which I am delighted about! I really think dry January has helped as well as I'm feeling much less bloated.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Can I join? I'm 5'3" and 70kg/11st. I have a sweet tooth and limited willpower. I probably need to lose more than a stone but let's start with a stone. I said no to a chocolate biscuit at work (to the surprise of my colleagues!) and have resisted the urge to forage in the kitchen for treats after tea.

I need to work on getting some exercise into my life too.

Hey all, had an ok day today and then couldn't resist a cheeky slice of bread and butter ( love bread!) when I was making the school lunches tonight. And then had a chocolate bar but one of the small dairy milk (95 calls I think) bar so could have been worse - the double decker was winking at me! All I tell myself is, think of the end goal!

1 more lb, which I'm pleased with because I've been laid up with a terrible back since Saturday, and haven't been able to leave the house, let alone do the exercise I had planned. But it shows the eating side is still working!
I saw the GP and physio, and they think I need 1 week off exercise, so next week will have to be a diet-only week, but hopefully I can keep moving in the right direction...

I've got some (skinny) friends coming over for dinner tomorrow, so have been looking at The Body Coach's instagram page for inspiration, and have found a few things that look great.

Has anyone got his Lean in 15 book? Is it any good?

Project perfect that sounds like delicious chicken.
Ya I agree mfp is really useful good motivator too when approaching the calorie limit for the day.so far so good but it's only 11am :-D

twobambinos keep logging into mfp. I started again after about 6months off and I'm remembering how much it helps once you get over the feeling that it's a hassle to up date.

Re spicy chicken it's not really a recipe - I stick 6 chicken breast in the slow cooker with a cup of water and 1/4 bottle of nandos peri peri sauce. Cook for four hours. Shred between two forks. Put back in cooker for another couple of hours. Delicious Grin

Welcome to all the new joiners.
Project well done on your first 5km its a great feeling.
congrats to all the losers.

I must admit I am struggling. have been eating healthy but then have added on loads of sweet treats on top. emotional stress eating not even hungry. Its also totm so im not going to weigh in tomorrow like I had planned. I have signed back up to mfp and started logging from this morning so Im hoping by next week I will be showing a loss so long as I can keep motivated to log in mfp.

Have sweet potato and Cajun chicken with tenderstem broccoli planned for tonights dinner, just to figure out what I am going to eat for lunch now. Also have stocked up on fresh fruit and natural yoghurts in a hope to avoid the junk food. Also planning to do some intervals on the treadmill tonight when DH is home to mind the kids.

Keep up the good work everyone else.
