Easyloss.

You listen to a 25 min recording per day, and it teaches to you rethink your eating, plus gives you reminders to drink water and has lots of tips.

Has anyone tried it? I downloaded it (£4.99) on Monday and have lost 2 pounds, but will keep you updated on whether or not it was a fluke if anyone is interested?

Yes please can you link?

CremeDeSudo · 02/01/2016 10:54

I don't know how to link to the play store sorry but I searched for Easyloss Bikini and it was the top result. It's the Happy Apps Company and the pic is a yellow background with a bikini on it Smile

SkodaLabia · 02/01/2016 10:57

Thanks! I could see there was a bikini one, a little black dress one and a gastric band one, but wasn't sure which was the one people were recommending.

peachypips · 17/01/2016 20:43

How are people getting on with this? I have just downloaded the app.

CremeDeSudo · 17/01/2016 21:32

I've been using the app and also doing a 5:2, 16:8 combo and so far lost 3.5lb in 10 days so I'm really pleased Smile something is working anyway! I haven't felt deprived at all and I'm making a real effort to only way when I'm genuinely hungry. Have found the stopping once full more challenging though tbh as I eat too quickly I think!

bootygirl · 17/01/2016 22:48

I have just downloaded the bikini one going to start tonight! It's 14 week programme is that right? Going on holidays in June and want to be fitter! Ideally 19lbs.

bootygirl · 18/01/2016 15:32

Does anyone know if you can use the app & Paul McKenna cd at same time!?
They both aim to do the same thing?

CremeDeSudo · 18/01/2016 17:20

Yes it's 14 wks. I'm aiming for 20lb loss (16.5lb to go thoughGrin) so fingers crossed!

I don't know if you could combine them but I'd be wary in case they're teaching you different things. Maybe stick to just the one?

bootygirl · 18/01/2016 18:22

Oh well done Creme! Yeah I might stick with Paul McKenna. There very similar in one way!

I want to lose 19lb ideally but 16lb will do😉

Uptownfuckuup · 19/01/2016 13:45

i have the gastric band app
is the bikini body one better ?

bootygirl · 20/01/2016 20:54

I prefer the Paul McKenna one TBH.

london32 · 22/01/2016 21:06

Didn't work for me

I kept thinking 'I am hungry' backed up by the app and over eating healthy stuff

Under active thyroid so I can't eat much without putting weight on

So didn't work for me

LovelyFriend · 26/01/2016 10:05

Hi all - joining in here.

"I kept thinking 'I am hungry' backed up by the app and over eating healthy stuff"
london this happened with me at first too and I never lost any weight. As a lifelong over eater/emotional eater hearing "eat what you want" and ignoring the rest of the guidelines caused me no end of problems. Years ago I listened to the Paul McKenna CD too - same effect - I seemed to feel very relaxed and took on the message "eat what you want" without the rest of them. But I felt very relaxed after listening, and I was a member of the FB group so I kept the ap on my phone and listened from time to time.

But I knew it made sense for me - more sense than anything else. And I did not want to go on another "diet". I'm 47 now and have been up and down all my life, mostly living with 34+ BMI for 15 years and going slowly UP (currently 37). So I know I need to make fundamental and permanent changes to my eating habits rather than dieting. And the hypnotherapy method makes sense to me.

So staring 6th January I decided to focus on just one guideline per month, and listen to the app each night (I have the VGB one but I prefer the Bikini Body ap and use that every night).

This month I have been focusing on drinking water - 2 litres per day minimum.

And somehow at long last it seems to have clicked. I'm drinking lots of water, and I've stopped the daily morning latte with extreme ease (my desire for them has just gone), I'm cooking more in the evenings and preparing my lunches too.

So I'm eating what I want, I'm absolutely not on a diet, and I've lost 2.5 kilos since Jan 6 - which I am very happy about.

And saving money too from ending the latte habit and not buying lunch at M&S every day.

Some people seem to get it very quickly and easily. As an emotional eater/over eater it seems to me to offer support to change ingrained habits - and that is what I'm focusing on. Focusing on the eating habit changes, with any potential weight loss being a bonus rather than the goal, is what is working for me. Well so far - it's early days and I have around 30 kilos to lose to get into a healthy weight range. I really can't imagine wanting to go that far, so at the moment my goal is to get to 90 kilos (21.4kgs to go).

london32 · 26/01/2016 10:27

Interesting lovely friend

I've started Cambridge diet on day 10 lost 4lb (down to 13.7/ 85kg)

Think I'll start listening to it again as you suggest.

I've got a thyroid problem so over eating isn't an issue - it's more avoiding sugar/ carbs and keeping food below 1000cal per day is the only way j lose weight

LovelyFriend · 26/01/2016 10:31

I know someone who lost 6 stone with Cambridge Diet last year. She is now working out how to maintain the loss. It certainly works but it's not for me though.

CremeDeSudo · 26/01/2016 11:00

I lost 4st on Cambridge and have a friend who lost 11st. It's not maintainable though - have put 20lb back on and now it doesn't work as well for me. I think my body has learned or smoething. So far so good for me with this app/5:2/16:8 general approach but didn't weigh last week as was on. Will report back on Friday when I weigh again!

london32 · 26/01/2016 11:16

Oh well I've done Cambridge 4 times before. (Due to pregnancy weight gain).

This is my experience of it (I have under active thyroid as well)

In 6wks, always lose 1s7lb.
Then stops working / plateau which is too hard when you're barely eating.

Stop diet. Put 4lb on immediately.

Re-start a while later. Lost 1s7 in 6wk.

So now I have around 3s/2.7 to lose I know it will take 2-3 attempts over the next year, depending on whether I settle at 11s10 or want to be around 11s.

Last time I tried Cambridge I lost 2lb in the first week. That is NOT enough for me to continue being hungry!

I lost 2.5lb doing my new plan..tbh, this feels like it's actually keep doing which is what I think I need!

SpottyDot · 27/01/2016 19:59

I did Paul McKenna's weight loss and gastric band. They work but you do have to still put some brain effort in. Books come with his cds and reading them helps if you want to maintain your weight forever and not regain and lose and regain etc.
