New week, new thread

hello hello

yes the house is ours and we've been to look at it today - not moving in until next week as no possessions until the container turns up on MOnday - can't wait to see my stuff again!

and I still like it - in the 4 weeks since I last saw it I had turned it in my head into the smallest, pokiest little hovel you've ever see. And it's not - hurrah.

schneebly - that sounds like a great night out if you ask me - BAcardi breezers and chunky chip - mmmm. A friend of mine used to work for Bacardi and when we went on orchestra tours she bring boxes of freebies - mostly Breezers. yummy

MrsJohnCusack · 10/11/2006 09:35

i cannot type
sounded like I was speaking some sort of pidgin English jus tnow. it's late here - my excuse

JackieNo · 10/11/2006 09:45

Hurray - glad it's all worked out on the house MrsJC. Christmas come early - you take it easy on moving in day - get them to move in a large armchair first, and sit in it and direct operations with a cup of tea in your hand. Don't go lugging heavy stuff around

JackieNo · 10/11/2006 09:51

Another update from Sue - in week 2 now.

MrsJohnCusack · 10/11/2006 10:01

oh thanks for the alert Jackie

actually - DD and I are pushing off for most of the afternoon of container day - we're going to a children's concert and leaving DH with a detailed list of where everything is go and letting him tell the unloaders what to do. Hee hee

JackieNo · 10/11/2006 10:49

Sounds perfect, MrsJC. Hope it all goes well.

Fauve · 10/11/2006 17:48

Thanks for that link to Sue's site, JackieNo - ideal for us lazyboneses. Very moving to read it all.

OMG I have 180 Asda Milk Chocolate Pumpkins (40g) in my kitchen in a very large stack.

FIL brought them over for DW's kids at school. I've had three and they are moreish.

Dange danger.

hub2dee · 10/11/2006 18:44

(could you make that four ?)

WigWamBam · 10/11/2006 18:45

Step away from the pumpkin pile ...

OP posts:
hub2dee · 10/11/2006 18:47

It's in the middle of the kitchen, quite hard to avoid.

hub2dee · 10/11/2006 18:48

I think I'll have an early dinner (dw has baked tatties).

WigWamBam · 10/11/2006 19:11

Can't you find a few under-privileged kids to give them to? Or feed them to next door's cats or something?

180 chocolate pumpkins ... you could do a fair bit of damage with those ...

OP posts:
hub2dee · 10/11/2006 19:15

DW's kids probably classify as under-privileged, so that's why they're in the kitchen !

Actually, I am now sated, which is rather excellent, and I haven't even schnuffled the tatty yet.

dd pushed your car a lot today.

WideWebWitch · 10/11/2006 19:19

I had a chicken fajita and chips at lunchtime, am now drinking wine and am going out for curry shortly. But I am working on eating healthily 6 days a week and allowing myself to say sod it the other 1, i.e. today.

That's a lot of, er, balls, hub

WideWebWitch · 10/11/2006 19:21

sorry, you said pumpkin, dunno why I equated that to chocolate balls. I think I am thinking of the hundreds of choclate halloween balls exdh bought ds and we kept eating, sorry!

hub2dee · 10/11/2006 19:23

They are balls. Kind of small tennis balls, but hollow inside IYSWIM like Easter eggs.

I will send you some really nasty bedding plants in return.

WigWamBam · 10/11/2006 19:34

Which dd would absolutely love potting up and giving to the MIL

hub2dee · 10/11/2006 19:48

High Five, toadie.

WigWamBam · 10/11/2006 19:55

Do toads have five toes?

Hi-three, maybe?

OP posts:
hub2dee · 10/11/2006 20:07

LOL. High three and a little bit of webbing.

WigWamBam · 10/11/2006 20:20
