I live on ready meals, drink at least a bottle of plonk a day and I'm lazy, there it's out there!

Now to turn it all around Confused.

You can be moderately fat and healthy and the opposite is also true.

I have just lost a much loved family friend in her early seventies. Constant strict dieting from her teens onwards left her with brittle bones in old age and she fell and passed away. She wasn't even that thin just 'lean' but she would have been much healthier allowing her body to sit at its natural weight for her frame which would have been a bit plump.Sad

You are absolutely and utterly right.
The diet industry is evil in that it encourages the sort of eating habits that lead to yoyo weight loss and lack of nutrients resulting in bone weakness.

There is a huge difference between our grannies who were slim until middle age kicked in and then became plump
and
kids whose obesity is starting at primary age and carrying on.
Those people are very, very unlikely to enjoy a sprightly old age.

Those of us who are no longer fat crave wine and cheese every night just and fancy a biscuit every hour. We just want other things more.
I cannot see how that is body shaming - its just the reality of living in a society where food is cheap and always available.
