Post and boast on this thread and update your weight on the spreadheet.

I'm looking for new recruits for the spreadsheet. I've noticed the following new names on the chat thread: HairyMaclary, 2bayumimum, Manvsfood, scrablet, TinTinsSexySister, studyingstudying, notcutoutforthis, LittleFrieda, JaxTellerIsMyFriend - please post your weights (or starting index of 100) if you wish to be added to the spreadsheet. Everyone welcome.

Hi BiWi well done re food, hope you had a good time and safe journey. We have all been well behaved and very brave without youGrin

studyingstudying · 04/06/2012 17:02

Hello, I am not on the spreadsheet yet and I notice that its all in neat alphabetical form - do I add myself on the bottom or in the middle?

If someone more knowledgeable would like to add me then please do! I started at 147lbs and am now 143lbs. Thanks!

smokinaces · 04/06/2012 17:18

I think I'm a lb down, but weighed so late in the day going to wait to weigh again tomorrow.

FiddleDeFat · 04/06/2012 18:25

You're on the spreadsheet now studying.

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack! Grin

I'm not entirely sure whether to get on the scales tomorrow, or leave it until Friday!

We had a fabulous time, and it was lovely to get some sunshine. It was also lovely to be able to wear nice clothes and not spend the time there beating myself up for not having lost any weight, which is what I seem to have done over the last 5 or so years.

My next 'target' is our summer holiday, on 11 August. A fortnight in Barbados. This means some serious, serious work on the diet (and at the gym) to lose at least another half a stone by then so that I can do the bikini some justice! I don't want to look horrific next to all the yummy mummies that will be round the pool.

WillieWaggledagger · 05/06/2012 07:12

Hellooo Biwi

Have lost 4lb this week and you could knock me down with a feather, but tbh I think the scales are going to shoot up over the next few days as the wine catches up with me. However I will savour this brief time in the 9s!

BIWItheBold · 05/06/2012 09:06

Oh go you!

Today is my last 'holiday' day, and then the wine has to go.

I'm leaving the scales till Friday. Then I have a difficult week after that, as I'm off to Greece for work - not entirely sure what food choices will be available for me, as I will be catered for by other people Hmm

smokinaces · 05/06/2012 09:52

I'm doing this week as a sts. Which with two tea parties, a bbq and a street party with no where near enough water isn't bad.

smokinaces · 05/06/2012 09:56

Ok, someone has already entered my weight this week - I can't edit it for some reason, can someone put it back as 149 not 148. Ta.

smokinaces · 05/06/2012 09:58

And welcome back biwi. :-)

BIWItheBold · 05/06/2012 10:49

Thank you Smile

heartstart · 05/06/2012 10:57

Welcome back Biwi.. 7lb down this week thanks to your firm talking to advice Grin Thanks

So cooked an omelette with coconut oil fluffed up beautifully, could taste cocnut v vaguely if I thought about it but is was v nice.

heartstart · 05/06/2012 10:58

Tasteed of coconut...unfortunate typo

SharonGless · 05/06/2012 13:31

Heartstart well done!
moonshine yes go coke zero especially if you aren't drinking enough water.
The other thing is that if you are doing more exercise your muscles will retain water plus muscle weighs heavier than fat. Previously on diets I haven't understood this and had stand up arguments with old witch WW leader who accused me of not sticking to their crap diet. Keep up the exercise and you will start losing the weight

heartstart · 05/06/2012 17:00

Sharon thanks

Moonshine just had a nose at your numbers on the spreadsheet, you have done really well, it may be that your body is sort of catching up (not v technical I know) but I do really think everybody's body is different and adjusts reacts n different ways. I have found using a food diary has really heleped.

moonshine · 05/06/2012 17:18

Welcome back BIWI - but you forgot to bring the sunshine back with you after taking it away!

Heartstart - yes I did do well in week 1 but that I reckon that was my excess water gushing out. But I'm feeling confident this week. I will cut down on out the coke zero, glug more water and cut down on my portion sizes because I really do think I eat far too much (I am very greedy!)

SharonGless - thank you for reminding me that muscle does hold on to more water, or at least I always seem to be heavier after exercising - I really do feel that does happen in my case.

On the positive side I have not put on any (significant) weight, reversing the trend of the past few months. But yes, for all new starters, it really does seem to be about following the rules but at the same time working out what you can and can't get away with! Having any milk is a big no-no for me and I'm still trying to work out the rest.

I am, however, all Jubilee'd out now.....

BIWItheBold · 05/06/2012 17:29

Sorry, moonshine - I had no intention of leaving the sunshine behind! I can't believe how dismal it is. Our heating came on this afternoon as it had got so cold. (Mind you, that's just as well, as our tumble drier has broken down, so I have wet washing draped around the house trying to dry)

In terms of weight loss, it's also possible that you've hit the week 3/4/5 slow down. It often happens. Make sure you're eating plenty of fat and keeping your carbs low, and that you're getting your carbs from veg/salad. Have a look at dairy - it may be that you're sensitive to this - and (sorry Grin) definitely knock the Coke on the head. Although you shouldn't have to be worrying about calories at this stage, if you think your portion sizes are too big, then doesn't do any harm trying to cut those down.

You shouldn't go hungry on this WOE at all - that's the great joy of restricting carbohydrates. But it can become a habit to pile your plate high, because you're used to being hungry now/later. I know that when I'm in ketosis I can eat only one boiled egg for breakfast, and it will keep me satisfied until lunchtime.

But above all, just keep on keeping on - and don't forget the water!

SharonGless · 05/06/2012 18:49

Fuck have just gone gone on a sugar binge in the last 15 minutes. Kids dolly mixtures, orange aero bubbles, anything I could get my hands on :(

Emotional crutch - I know why I did it but can't believe I have just fallen off the wagon so easily. Just waved parents off who have been visiting and they make me feel like shit therefore I have reverted to type. I am so cross with myself. No replies needed just needed vent and record it I suppose.

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 05/06/2012 18:53

hello, I am here. Another long weekend in Scotland, but I think I did ok considering the temptations on offer... The scales will tell me later in the week.

moonshine · 05/06/2012 23:04

BIWI - message received and understood [salutes].

SharonGless - I'm sure lots of us have been there - I know I have all too often and I expect I will do something similar in the near future - but it's good you know why you did it and that it didn't really help did it [stern face]?

Sorry about your parents - I presume it's good now that they've gone??

The good thing about this WOE I think is, yes it's easy to put on a few pounds but the flip side is any extra weight will come off quickly (it's only mostly going to be water/glycogen gain).

FiddleDeFat · 05/06/2012 23:34

I've updated the spreadsheet by carrying forward the weights of people who have yet to weigh-in. This gives us a collective weight loss this week of 44lbs, with an average of 1lb each.

This week's biggest loser award goes to heartstart with a whopping 7lb loss. Crown Thanks

My DH seems to be running away with the biggest accumulative loss (but he is a big bloke), so to compensate for this, I've added another award category of biggest total percentage loser to make it fairer on those who started at a relatively low weight. And this week's winner is WillieWaggledagger, who has lost 12.7% of her bodyweight. Crown Thanks

Curtesy, thank you omits to mention pound gain this morning for no apparent reason

WillieWaggledagger · 06/06/2012 08:04

golly have i? (should I make a speech? my thanks go out to BIWI and all the lovely bootcampers for their support... )

it has only recently twigged for me quite how much water i need to drink for consistent weight loss. it has to be at least 6 litres, which i tend to drink at least half of during the evening as otherwise I can't manage my 1hr 15 min commute without needing to stop for a wee!

sharon i spent the weekend with my parents and have some difficulties with my mother. i totally sympathise. (my mum was actually well-behaved this weekend). hopefully recognising the triggers helps in the long run?

FiddleDeFat · 06/06/2012 08:12

Slight update to the stats as I've added a newbie to the spreadsheet. Heartstart, you now get to share the Biggest Loser with puffylovett. Two super losers for the price of one!

BIWItheBold · 06/06/2012 08:31

Woo hoo! Brilliant performances there.

Sharon - sorry to hear about your binge Sad - but you do know (I'm sure you do!) that you are allowing your parents to continue to affect you if you turn to sugar for comfort. Sorry if that doesn't sound sympathetic, because I do understand. But you have to remember that it's you that is on this diet, not your parents.

Strict Bootcamp for the next few days, and lots of water, and you'll soon be back on track.
