Welcome to thread 17 as we approach our two year Mounjaroversary

Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we celebrate all the weight loss over the past two years.
Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W102 D 5 and on a 5mg weekly maintenance dose.

F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 10lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far at lowest weight was 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0) maintenance has seen 4- 6 of those pounds go back on.
We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style/vinted chat too 🤗

MJ has been truly life-changing for me over these past two years. Yes, I’ve been left with loose skin and my hair is miles thinner but I am grateful for the upsides - more energy, a full lifestyle overhaul and a far happier outlook on life. 🥰

Almost 2 years!! This is wild isn’t it really. What a journey we’ve all been on! Both in terms of weight loss, physical and psychological confidence, and all the crap that life throws at us en route!

Goldleafcat · 17/10/2026 19:41

Btw thank you for the new thread! 🩷

DarkForces · 17/10/2026 21:15

Wow. 2 years. I've been a healthy weight for over a year now and I'm still loving it! It's amazing to be able to feel light on my feet and happy in my own body for probably the first time in my life. I'm heading towards 50 and feel Mounjaro has given me the chance to actually enjoy my body rather than just tolerating it!

PuzzledObserver · 17/10/2026 21:52

I’m an August 26 starter. Would you veterans be so kind as to indulge my curiosity:

Are you still taking Mounjaro, and if so, at what dose, compared to the maximum you took when losing?

Thank you for your generosity if you choose to answer.

No problem, Still on 5mg. Highest dose was 7.5mg for around 2 months. I did drop down to 2.5mg slowly earlier this year but gained weight despite nothing else changing - leading me to understand that MJ does more for me than I realised in the background.

Thanks for the new thread @Mounjaropen.

@PuzzledObserver I'm still losing as I had a lot to get rid of. I'm just over 8 stone down and 4 pounds off goal. I'm planning on titrating down to as low a dose as possible and staying on for at least another couple of years. My highest, which I'm currently on, is 7.5 and I was on 5 for quite a long time. If I can go back to 2.5 that would be amazing.

Dreamqueen · 18/10/2026 19:03

Thank you @Mounjaropen for the new thread.
Happier and smaller than 2 years ago even with a shed load of stress caused by not so D step son. Still takeing between 5-6.5 I would like to titrate down but have quite a lot of stuff going on at the moment.
Sugar and chocolate have crept back in so I need to address that soon.

Thanks @Mounjaropen for the new thread.

SW: 14st
CW: 9 st 8
MW: 9 st 7

I briefly got down to 9st 4 but went back up to 9 st 13 over the summer. Hoping to get back to my maintenance goal of 9st 7 for our anniversary! Vinted habit getting a bit out of hand ATM!

keep going 💪 stress is one of the major reasons we’ll all fall off the wagon but allow yourself a little bit of leeway then get back on it 🥰

Just checking in 👋

Below is my last check in from April…
SW 18st 4.3lbs
CW 13 stone 3.6lbs
Total loss so far, 5 stone 0.5lb or 32kg
I have lost 28% of my starting weight
SBMI 43
CBMI 31.8

Today, I weigh exactly the same as I did 6 months ago.
I have lost 5 stone by micro dosing for 1 year building up to 5mg, and for the last year I have remained on 5mg.

Even though I am heavier than what some of you started off at, I feel good, I am fit, I am very comfortable and confident in my own skin.

BMI wise, I am still classed as obese, I would ideally like to lose another stone, but I am in no rush do to so as I am trying to avoid loose skin.
If it happens, it happens, but as long as I at least maintain then that’s a win for me.

Hellllloooo! Happy (nearly) anniversary to us! 🎉

Two years ago I took a full length selfie in a hotel mirror while I was away on a work trip, and decided I’d had enough. A couple years of surgically induced menopause and some miserable events had lead to a huge weight gain, and I was struggling to get any momentum at all with “just eating less and exercising more.” My mum had just been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and I was watching her deal with all the health implications of it, and suddenly ignoring my weight was looking like a pretty terrible idea.

So a month later I ordered my first pen and checked in here with you lovely lot. ❤️

As of this morning:

SW: 93kg (14 stone 9lbs)
CW: 61kg (9 stone 9lbs)

I’ve been 61-62kg for the past several months and am running and lifting weights again. Happy! I may even finally put that bag of emergency bigger clothes on Vinted.

Hello! I am still on 5mg, though thinking I’m going to try going down to 2.5 and seeing if I can maintain as well on that. My highest regular dose was 7.5, and I went as high as 10 for a month but didn’t feel I needed it so came back down.

You’re so right about enjoying your body and all that entails: exercise, getting dressed, moving through the world. Such a simple source of confidence. I know some have found a direct connection between Mounjaro & MH, but I feel like for me it’s as simple as feeling better in myself = better mood. ❤️

RayonSunrise · 20/10/2026 08:40

@Mounjaropen, thanks for opening the thread and thanks for all your proactivity with keeping this little community going! We would not be the same without you. ❤️

RayonSunrise · 20/10/2026 09:00

Oh, and while I’m blathering away here - speaking of enjoying yourself/enjoying dressing, I’m off to a party this weekend and have just realised my planned outfit owes a debt to Tom Ford’s early collection for Gucci (for those who remember that! I thought it was the most glamorous thing I’d ever seen). Mine’s all burgundy high street bits assembled mainly from what I’ve accumulated since reaching goal weight, but the elements are all there: flared velvet evening trousers, tonal silk shirt, strappy heels, chocolate fur jacket, blingy bag and earrings.

I would not have had this much fun (nor inadvertently referenced such a fashiony inspiration) getting dressed two years ago!

MilicentBulstrode · 20/10/2026 09:15

Morning all, I’ve name changed since I last posted but have been around since the first thread.

SW 13st 11lb
CW 10st 11lb
LW 10st 1lb
GW 10st 0lb

i titrated up to 6mg at maximum dose and came off MJ 8 months after starting as I was almost at GW, j had sagging skin loads of hair loss and just wanted to want food again or enjoy a meal.

I restarted MJ at the start of the year I’d gone back up to 11st 11lb and knew I couldn’t do this alone.

it’s taken months to actually start to bring my weight back down as I found stopping MJ has reduced its efficacy the second time - with consistent dosing I’ve finally found in the last 6-8 weeks I’m starting to lose again.

currently on 5mg every 4 weeks religiously, previously I’d mess around wait 10 days - micro dose 3.5mg twice weekly - but this time I’m not messing just following the dosing guidelines.

i have psychologically induced nausea when I start thinking about injecting and I have a cupboard where I keep my sharps bin if I look at this cupboard I feel nausea too. It’s funny because I wanted to stop because I did have nausea/diarrhoea symptoms the first time around. This time I’ve not hit the side effects but I clearly have muscle memory of them because even ordering my pen causes nausea now.

Ive been toying with the idea of moving to foundayo as I hear there are less side effects - of course it’s a bit cheaper.

I’ve reached the conclusion I cannot go this alone and need something to keep me from spiralling back into obesity. Realising this is my life now has been hard - but at least there is WLIs as an option now - before obesity was my life as I couldn’t lose weight no matter what I did.

A perennial in sexy glamour for good reason! It's never a look that worked on me, but Iove it & love that rediscovered joy in dressing up. I'm what's now branded as a dopamine dresser - lots of colour, sequins, fur etc - and am enjoying that more now it doesn't come with a side of 'do I look like the jolly fat lady trying too hard'.

Bless you!

I think we’ve all done incredibly well. It’s rather fantastic isn’t it. At the start of this journey I would never have anticipated the progress we have all made. Definitely has had its bumps in the road but that’s fine, that’s life. I suspect I’ll be on MJ (or some form of it) for life in order to keep me on an even keel. And I’m okay with that (though would appreciate the prices coming down…!)

jay55 · 22/10/2026 12:43

Happy MJversary. After lots of up and down the last two weeks I’m .5kg down. 8kg to go.
12mg is still doing a number on my digestive system. But I’ll put up with it until goal.

Thanks for the new thread. And thanks to those who are still here whether losing or maintaining, everyone’s news is always helpful and motivating.
