I was referred a couple of weeks ago for Mounjaro on the NHS which I was very grateful for, my appointment came through for December, I was desperate to start so bough the initial dose and am on my second week
Do I admit this at my telephone appointment and are they likely to then not give me it going forward?
I'm torn between coming clean and just not saying anything

If it’s just a telephone appointment I wouldn’t say anything. Stay on the 2.5mg as that’s where they’ll start you.

It will...well it should.... appear on your nhs records at some point after you order it...so be honest.

Yes mine did, I've always bought privately and its on my NHS records.

It’s not just the weight that’s the issue. For diabetes, they look at your HbA1c, and they will prescribe MJ if regular diabetes medicine isn’t working to control it. The HbA1c level in your blood takes around 3 months to change, but by Dec there’s a significant chance MJ will have brought it down significantly. So if they do order a new test, which I think will be very likely, it will be very obvious that something significant has happened. If the MJ has brought your HbA1c under control and they don’t know you’re taking it, they will assume your metformin has done it and you won’t qualify for MJ.
So I’d either tell them now or don’t take it.

Honesty is best especially with your health. I don't think you're in any trouble! Just tell the doctor. Best of luck with your injections!
