Anyone else losing weight slowly on Mounjaro?

Anyone else a very slow loser? Wegovy seemed to have no impact on me at all and I was on it from November to March. I am now on Mounjaro and have been for 4 months. I'm currently only on 5mg, but wondering if I should move up to feel more impact. I'm 1.5 stone off and on holiday at the moment and I feel the difference in my clothes but not the massive weight loss that a lot people seem to have. I'm aware I'm snacking less but I'm definitely eating more than normal and don't have the complete resistance to food noise that others talk of. Just musing really - glad to be on it, interested to see where I'll be in a year!

I have been talking MJ for 15moths with the odd month not using it . I have lost 20kgs and feel generally so much better. I am on 7.5 which lasts about 6 weeks and am happy with my weight.Starting weight 96kgs now 75ish .

Great, sounds like a really good loss to me! I think zooming out sometimes helps, and focusing on the feeling better.
I already feel much better and more confident in clothes this summer, even though in lots of ways I felt disappointed to spend another fat.

How many calories are you eating a day and are you managing to stick to your planned calories?

On the whole, yes. My Fitness Pal suggests 1800 calories a day for me to be losing 2lbs a week. I'm currently in France so eating more bread and drinking more wine than usual, but so much less than I usually would.

@MeridaBrave have you looked into your TDEE? You can calculate it online and then take off 300-500 calories to find how many calories should let you lose 1-2 pounds a week.
For me my TDEE is 2100 so I aim for 1600 calories a day. I track carefully and usually stick to that.

I have looked into it and will probably need a bit of a reset when I'm home after holiday.

I am tracking calories but more for awareness - I've done both Slimming World and Weight Watchers in the past (with success) but find if I'm too restructive, it leads to a yo-yoing aspect of dieting, and is what means I will put weight back on.

I guess the flipside of that is slower weight loss 🙈

I’ve been on Mounjaro since February and lost two stone - I’ve stuck to 2.5 - partly because it’s working and partly to avoid side effects. The first stone was fast but it’s slowed right down now but I’m ok with that. I’ve got 9lbs left to lose. I’m hoping that’s going to make it easier to maintain the weight.

That's great going, especially on 2.5! 9lb left is so close 😊
